If these vehicles were to be driven from Gujarat to Kannur, how much of labour, time, fuel, wear and tear of the roads, tyres, car parts, pollution would have cost. A welcome initiative.

NMG rakes can be booked on line through Indian Railways FOIS(Freight operation information system) or manually at any goods office of Indian railways by paying Rs 50000 as wagon registration fee. Full freight as per km to be paid before despatch of the train. Loading and unloading station must be 'open' for such traffic.
