I am a Brahmin but I believe that if a person born in a Brahmin family eats meat and drinks liquor and his behaviour is not good is lower than an OBC who is satvik by karma. We have an ancient family temple in our Village which was made by our ancestors about 200 years ago. The priest who regularly performs morning and evening puja is an OBC and our family felt that he was the most deserving because he is devout bhakt of Hanuman ji, brahmachari and lives like a sadhu, doesn't wear slippers ever, walks many kilometres every day for 'ganga snan' during the month of 'Kartik'. May be he is not Brahmin by birth but by his karma he is and due to this our family considers him worthy of being a priest. And gradually other people of the village are also accepting and acknowledging him.

Whatever The Great Shankaracharyas have said - His Holiness Sri Karpathri Maharaj Swamiji, Puri Shankaracharyaji Sri Nishchalananda Saraswathiji have said and The former Joshi Mutt Shankaracharyaji and Sri Avimuktheshwaranandaji have said is as per The Vedas and Shasthras, and they will be 100% True and Perfect - The RSS, BJP and other Intercaste Hindus know nothing about our Indian Ancient Culture and Heritage !! So they cannot argue against The Acharyas, since they are The Gurus of this Holy Bharatha and it was Sri Adi Shankaracharya who restored Hinduism and he also supported the Birth based Caste system. Remember that in The Mahabharata, Dronacharya, the direct descendant of Bharadwaja Muni or Rishi himself could not change his Caste or Birth based system and he was not supposed to fight in the Kurukshetra war, but he was mercilessly killed in the battle by deceit. If he had followed the Birth based caste system, he might have not been killed I guess. Which means that the Son of a Rishi Bharadwaja was not allowed to take part in the Battle of Kshatriyas despite being the Guru of both Kauravas and Pandavas according to Sri Brahma Deva in The B R Chopra Mahabharata TV serial.
