Good stuff having the kids along to help getting a feed. Good lessons and tucker. It takes me back to my youth roaming around in the mangroves. Thanks

Yeah it’s awesome. Wasn’t it fun doing it growing up just want the kids to experience the same. Try to get them out of the house and off the computer’s.

Sebaiknya setelah di bakar dan sebelum di makan di cuci dulu, karena itu berlumpur dagingnya.

How to pick mangroves to find mud mussels in? I'm in mackay any recommendations?
@CampMisguided3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for this question. Usually you will find them in a salt pan kind of area at the back of mangroves way above tidal mark. The mud will be a lot dryer than usual but salt water can still reach them from little gullies on really high tides. I hope this helps you find some mate.

Love this video! And all your other stuff. 🙏 Question: I’ve gotten mud mussels before, but they were so muddy tasting they were inedible. Couldn’t believe you guys were eating them straight. Could it be a seasonal thing? I’ve seen folk say you should soak them.
@CampMisguided3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment bruv 👋. Yeah if they are very muddy or sandy inside it is a good idea to put them in a bucket of saltwater so they can clean themselves before cooking or eating them. These ones were very clean, I think the high tides started to get up into the mangroves.
