I've listened to this song a handful of times now, I really like how the themes just all mesh together. The instruments being equal with vocals gives the impression shes hiding within the music. Alright. I need to collect my thoughts. This song is definitely something I'd listen constantly. XD Okay, in order to properly give a review, I had to listen to this song FOUR TIMES. Why? That Bassline is SO GOOD it had me bopping with how catchy it was with the chorus! I love how it was only during the chorus that the reggae/funk-like beat shined. That's number one. You and Holmes did an amazing job with that! Number two, actually, I was only able to start listening to the lyrics after replaying the song a few more times because of how good that Bassline was. I had a hard time properly listening to the lyrics! XD Anyways, damn... I like the way you wrote the story. There's a narrative, but at the same time, the lyrics are also open for different interpretations. For instance, at first it sounds like you're talking as a victim of a manipulative partner, but it can also be seen as a person escaping from toxic, gaslighting family members, or even from one's self-harming thoughts and tendencies. Third time properly listening to it: I'm very interested with the way you sang and made that internal rhyme scheme work for you, especially during the verses. I first came here for the bars way back then with your raps, but grew to appreciate your style of rap-like singing. And eventually your actual singing. What I'm trying to say is, I think you're finally getting the hang of infusing your own style no matter what genre of music your making. And that's a really good thing! You finally have that "thing" where if someone listens to any song you make, no matter what genre, they'll know it belongs to Miss Akuma Nihmune, not because they heard your voice (especially since you've done covers already), but your original songs finally have that "Numi Vibe". I hope this makes sense. XD Fourth time replaying the song: Personally, this is my favorite song you've made so far. The best one for me. You've learned and grown a lot throughout your career as a content creator. All that hard work is finally paying off. This song, for me, is a representation of that. I think it's gonna take a while for me to get this song out of my head too, especially with how awesome that Bassline is. It's just SO GOOD. Again, You and Holmes did a fantastic job with the music production. We love you, Ms. Nihmune. Thank you for another banger song.
