I had to watch this one again, and I’ll probably come back and watch it again and again. It’s really a treasure, this piece. Thanks again for sharing it.

Thank you for sharing this amazing set of melodies! Great stuff. Polkas are an important part of our norteño music culture, you probably know that. They are also very important in TexMex music.

Sitting here in Schwabenland listening to this beautiful music...absolutely beautiful and educational! Thank you so much for posting this gem Alex. I've got a little Hohner Liliput that I am restoring while listening to this... Though a Club model, the music you and your Pop are playing is very motivational. I am ready to learn!

Thanks for the kind words-- I've been messing around with a little club accordion at home-- it's a unique challenge to adapt the different diatonic styles... Hope to hear your restored accordion! I love teaching and learning-- been doing a lot of that via zoom!

Interesting video Alex, a pleasure to watch. Given that your father pronounced some titles in Slovenian so well, what is your ancestry?
@alexmeixner8 ай бұрын
My father's family is full blooded Burgenlander Austrian. (My mother's family is full blooded Calabrese Italian). He studied all of the Slavic cultures deeply in his years in the Duquesne University Tamburitzans and was a stickler for correct pronunciation.
