This is SOOOOO important especially now. Subhanallah this past year I've been thinking so much about Al Aqsa and the fact the its importance in history its significance in Islam and its impact when its liberated is not understood enough especially with younger muslims. As a palestinian its so heartbreaking even within my community we have just like a vague understanding of its importance, not much is known about it. I'm soooo happy and look forward. Inshallah this series is blessed and brings baraka far and wide.

Allahu akbar!! I'm so exited to hear this! In desperation, just for myself, I've begun collecting photographs of holy places across the world, but particularly in the Levant, as if I fear the ancient structures will disappear from our memory forever. I'm a sentimental being in that when I see ancient mosques still largely intact, I imagine what it was like for the Messengers, peace & blessings be upon them all, to pray & deliver the words of Allah (swt) to the Muslims of that time. To my horror & great sadness, I discovered during my searches how the ancient sites of Medina & Makka were demolished / altered in order to create what is there today. Therefore, I regard al-Aqsa as an extremely precious site.

​@Miss_ineffable They're on my Pinterest board called "Levant" which contains a mix of early life, not just mosques, although I'm trying to keep it faithful to common religious history from an Islamic perspective. However, as for Al-Aqsa & Jewish claims of temples on the site, I've included reconstructions of the so-called "temple mount". This board is still fairly small as it started out as just Palestine, but since the present bombings in Lebanon, I started including that too & then I looked at some Christian tours which, for the most part, include sites common to Islam as well. Also, what often happens is you come across an interesting one without a caption, so you do an image search & suddenly you find a gem from say, Syria or Jordan & you don't want to lose it, so it ends up on the same board, hence my calling it the Levant, rather. The remainder are on a massive board (>5 000 images so far) called "Mosques, tombs & shrines". In retrospect, I may split these up into a 3rd board of something like "In the Prophet' (pbuh)'s footsteps" so as to keep Medina & Makka separate. Ideally, I should have them by continent & country too. Unfortunately, owing to a shaky hand, a few snuck through & ended up on the wrong board like a South African Mosque ending up in the Levant yesterday🫣, but I'll edit that later.😊

Masha'allah With Americans and British political scene, Ummah has a good example. Everyone in their own countries should pursuade the laity and rulers and call them to the just cause. Even if they seem like they're against you. You will never convince everyone but you'll do just enough whereby if Allah accepts the efforts, things will change!

JAK I needed this, especially to understand the real history of the Abrahamic faiths. We know that Islam is the last and most truthful, as the Quran builds upon Judaism and Christianity’s histories and retroactively corrects their errors. And yet, the only historical accounts I’ve seen are from a “judeocristian” perspective. JAK for doing this important work. Allah made Al-Yaqeen institute an agent of His good will so that social-justice oriented Muslims can realize islams potential in the here and now ❤

Thats not the alaqsa mosque its the rock dome

Dome of the rock is part of the masjid al Aqsa compound. So it is accurate to use that image to represent it.
