Monk _ _ _ thanks for another inspiring interview , this one with Al Gafa . I had found out who Al was just prior to his start with Dizzy . Dizzy and group , which included John Faddis , were playing the Monterey Jazz Festival . We were seated directly in back of Faddis' parents _ _ _ his mom , a natural mover & shaker , kept that whole section crackin' up with laughter . "But I digress" Great to learn of Al's music activities presently .

Great interview. I had an LP with him on it. He mentioned Larry Willis who I use to pickup at Mapleshade Studios to go shopping then return to jam.
