Al-Zahir Baibars...From a slave to one of the greatest sultans
He is the fourth sultans of the Mamluk state and the true founder of it. He fought the Mongols and was able to expel them from (the Levant). He was also able to expel the Crusaders from the Emirate of (Antioch). In addition to reviving the Abbasid Caliphate. However, these honorable achievements were behind a story of treachery and bloodshed, so "Baibars" only assumed power. After killing Sultan "Al-Muzaffar Qutuz", the conqueror of the Mongols and the hero of the Battle of (Ain Jalut).

Today we will turn in the pages of history, to know more about "Al-Zahir Baibars", who started his life as an owned property, sold and bought until fates led him to work in the service of the righteous king "Najm al-Din Ayyub", who let him join the forces of Prince "Aktay", so that "Baibars" began ascending to the top, and played a major role in defeating the Crusaders in (the Battle of Mansoura). And the events in Egypt became in conflict so that "Baibars" was forced to flee after the killing of Prince "Aktay", before he returned to (Egypt) again to participate in the battle of (Ain Jalut), hoping to take over the Emirate of (Aleppo) after that. And when his desire was not fulfilled, he killed Sultan 'Qutuz", so that 'Baibars" would rule (Egypt), and got rid of the strife and revolutions and reviving the Abbasid Caliphate. But his greatest achievement is the restoration of the Emirate of (Antioch), and the curtailment of the Mongol danger. So that his revival achievements in the country continued until his death in 675 A.H.
