HOLY FUCK! I've been searching for this game for almost 16 years now. I played the heck out of this as a child. One of the first games that triggered my love for hard dungeon style crawlers like Dark Souls and Bloodborne. I never beat it! Beating games wasn't even a concept in my mind at the time. The spider corridor, damn that was hard, as if going down an isometric hallway wasn't hard enough, you have to dodge egg sacks left and right, all on a time limit before the levitation spell wears off and you meet a gruesome death. If you go too fast, you risk bumping into the walls and start pinballing uncontrollably To this day, I still can't tell for sure when you fall into one of the holes your staff keeps you from falling briefly, while pressing A or B your character makes the attempt to swing up, but could never do it before the staff snaps and send you flying into your doom. My gut tells me it's not recoverable, and it's just a cleverly animated death animation
@AL82RetrogamingLongplays2 жыл бұрын
You can swing out of pits if you fall in, but the timing is *extremely* precise: check 5:28 and you'll see 😉
@jackylee58502 жыл бұрын
Amazing, it looks like you tapped the button in rhythm and was able to escape in just 4 swings. I thought it required a certain amount of swings in the short time you're given, clearly rapidly mashing the buttons wasn't going to cut it. Of course, the map you get marked clearly where the holes are, so it's almost impossible to fall in anyway. I'll have to give it a try later, if only for completion sake Still, I'm surprised it's actually possible, one would think your character being this old wizard is quite frail and wouldn't really have the dexterity to swing up like that. Also, my gut feeling tells me that it's not just a one time deal either, though there's no reason to intentionally fall in

What the heck sort of wizard has to rely on scrolls to cast spells? Mordamir can seemingly cast spells by his will alone. The player character here seems like he can only use magic freely by hitting someone with a staff, and he has to rely on a knife (or short sword?) as a backup weapon.
