Good review. As a country ass white fella married to a Mexican woman here in Texas I have a lot of experience with Mexican beer. My personal favorite is Negro Modelo. Don’t be fooled by the dark color, it is relatively light and it’s very good. Big fan of XX too.

I haven't tried Sol, does it come in tall cans? Sometimes I drink a Pacifico, or corona can from 7-11. Don't remember estrella jalisco having tall ones but had at bar as well as bohemia. Family likes modelo but I've never liked it.

If I may… dos x leaves you with that copper after taste in the morning. I would definite recommend Sol as one to be able to drink all night at the peda and wake up with no actual hops taste on your mouth

Modelo Especial is my favorite beer from Mexico. However, Mexican beers in Mexico taste slightly different in Mexico than the Mexican beers imported to the United States. Coors banquet, is my favorite beer of all time.

My go to beer is Pacifico, so you second thinking it made me so happy. It's a clean beer, it's the only beer I don't get a hangover with. It beats modelo in terms of hang over head aches... Modelo is brutal hangover after a long night.

Sol is like water. They stocked that in the minibar in our resort in mexico and, while refreshing, they went down like water and much to the same effect

As a Mexican I have to say that every of those beers tastes different and better depending on the altitude and the weather. Example, if you are at the beach the XX could be the worst beer to drink, you should try Pacifico instead. The same happens with Tecate, if you are in Oaxaca (for the weather and altitude), it could be the worst option, so you should drink something like Superior. However, as much you are in a Hot city like Monterrey, Tecate tastes so much better. XX is a really good option as a neutral beer. If you came to Mexico City you must try Carta Blanca beer, it tastes really good at the capital for the weather at the capital City of Mexico.

Carta Blanca tastes awesome as well in Monterrey, not for nothing its origins are there. Also, in Monterrey there's a lot of Bohemia, but I do recommend Pielsner on summers and Vienna on winters (Monterrey doesn't usually have very cold winters, but it gets very freaking dry and the wind feels cold as heck, specially in the zones near the foothills of the many mountains that are there, so you better want to have a dark beer on those days).

In the late 90’s Cerveza Sol was everywhere (even had a lot of product placement like The Matrix movie), now you can barely find it here in Mexico and almost no restaurant carries it

My family is from Jalisco and we love Estrella. It is a light beer but it’s good not like modelo or corona that are bitter. When in Mexico we like drinking barrilito which is as light as Estrella but in a little barrel glass

I prefer Bohemia Vienna Lager over all of these. It’s only available in Mexico though. But their Pilsner is available in the States and it has a fuller body than the other Mexican Pilsners in the States. If you’ve had their Vienna, I think you’ll appreciate their Pilsner. There’s a slight roastiness, lighter than the Vienna obviously, but I taste a similar brewing style.

I lived in Mexicali for a few years. Turns out, Tecate has one on them breweries factories out there in that fkin hell. Freshly bottled Tecate is one, if not, my favorite beer ever. The thing is, you have to drink it as soon as it is bottled. People would wait in line to buy their six or twelve pack, and still do! Serously. Tecate roja, freshly bottled is something else. I freaking love it. Other than that. I love XX, but cold AF. Victoria Caguamas are marvelous too. Anyways, you guys are missing Barrilitos and Caguamitas Carta Blanca. I'm from Sonora. Love craft beer too. Just had my Ballena Caguama watching this. Lovely videos. Was fun. CHEERS CABRONES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
