I’ve heard from people yeah it sucks as a slim Jim; but if you use it for tacos like carne seca in a taco or rehydrate it after crumbling it probably would be great considering it’s going to be higher quality than most carne seca in my experience. Idk just seems like a heritage/ gimmick product for the orthorexic bro consumer rather than a mass audience target appeal lol

I forget the brand but it’s usually sold at a table at a gun show near me but they have exotic flavors in both sticks and jerky that are really good. Gator and elk are the best.

I'm not sure what is in a Slim Jim, but it definitely isn't meat. Those things are nasty, you can feel the load of oil hit the back of your throat when you bite into it. You are also guaranteed to shite yourself almost immediately after consumption.

Im addicted to jerky but my favorite is actually the Honey BBQ Sweet Baby Rays jerky. It has to be the Honey BBQ flavor though or its a no go. Its the juiciest, most flavorful, satisfyibg jerky Ive ever had. The other Sweet Baby Rays flavors are no comparison so get that HONEY BBQ

My rule of thumb is to read the ingredients and if there’s beef hearts in it I won’t buy it. I know that beef hearts are in 99% of sausage snacks, but if it just says beef on the label, it perfectly fine 😅
