Loyalty is to the Team not a player, I am afraid this isn’t the case with this staff. a good coach should show improvement but we are not seeing any. Die hard Bam. 49 years old. Lived through Shula, Perkins, Price, Dubose, Franphony...God..who even remembers Dennis Francione as Bama"s coach? I think Kalen is probably a great x's and o's guy. I really firmly believe he had no real idea of what he was getting into. I mean hearing the announcers say it was his first time to ever be in Neyland Stadium. Their is so much he didnt understand. The Nuance of SEC Away Games. Fan expectation management. Rat poison. The huge business that is Alabama Football. The crazy scrutiny about literally every move you make- good or bad. Having to manage huge ego's. Parents. NIL $. The portal. The fact that every team wants their pound of flesh off of Alabama. He wasnt prepared for any of this. He thought he understood. But no way can you understand. It takes a really special person to be able to handle this program. He reminds me of Mike Price. Wanting to be everyones buddy. Going out for Beers at the local college bars. Nice guy approach wont work at Bama. You have to be an Assassin. And a iron fisted business manager. We have gotten away from smash mouth downfield running. Regardless of having a mobile qb, you have to run the ball in the SEC. You have to be able to exert your will. Lean hard on the other team..Play tough tough non gimicky defense. Eye of the tiger shit. I like Kalen. But he's got to quit being a nice guy and get fucking real with himself and his team. He"s not there to be buddy buddy. He"s there to mold boys into men. Teach them to be killers on the field. And businessmen off the field. You lose at Washington. You might hear about it for a day. We lost to fucking Vanderbilt as the #1 team. We will never not have to hear about that. This thing could go bad really quickly. The tide fan base wont put up with mediocrity. And thats why Alabama always rises back to the top. We wont accept average. Or just okay. We have much higher expectations. Edit:fyi- its not bad adjustments- its no adjustments. At all. I havent seen us do anything in a second half thats given anyone any problems. And I disagree. Kalen might need to completely rebuild this OC and Dc staff. Im not sure we have the right guys in place. Not sure a guy from South Alabama was professionally prepeared for the head DC at Alabama. Maybe he was. But I dont see it. And I guess I had way higher expectations for our offense based off of what I had heard about Kalen. But no creativity. Nothing to throw anyone off balance. No counters. No option. No shovel pass. No reverses. I mean no throwing to our tight ends with any real consistency. When you have a mobile qb like Jalen, you have to scheme him into sutuations that set him up for success. It cant be Jalen is a drop back passer and he just tucks it if no one is open. Jalen isnt a drop back QB. No badly how badly he wants to be. Rtr

To even have a shot at playing for the SEC crown, Bama has to win out and get some help from our conference friends. I'm playing smart money on this and my money is against us being in the Championship game this year. Best we can hope for now is a 12 spot in the final rankings. But here is the big one: I understand your frustration with Alabama this year and I'm experiencing a lot of it myself but we need to think of who we lost, the numbers we lost and what the GOAT endured during his first season at Alabama before we completely write off Coach Kalen. Saban started off with 3 wins in a row then dropped two in a row to Georgia and Florida State. Saban ended his 1st season at Alabama with a "4 Bagger" FOUR STRAIGHT LOSSES to LSU, Mississippi State, Louisiana-Monroe and Auburn! That UL-M loss was a shot in the gut that I still feel the remnants of today. Very similar to losing to Vandy in 2024. Saban 7-6 his first year.

In the first half Tenn QB missed several open receivers down the field. If their QB was more accurate, this loss would have been worse. Milroe wasn't very accurate also, but Tenn defense had a lot to with that. Expectations at Alabama are always high, but taking over for a legend is never easy and we are struggling. @Diggz_NotNiceАй бұрын
@@JLPOWELL1000 Jalen isn't the problem, the play calling is the problem. Jalen should NEVER be dropping back to pass 45 times a game. Sheridan allows the defense to tee off on Jalen by refusing to run the godamm football!! They can blitz all day long and focus on locking up receivers if you refuse to run the ball, and there's no way in hell for Jalen to get in any type of rhythm that way. Those are the FACTS! One loss and y'all "fans" are calling for this kids job, is CRAZY. I understand the frustration, but if your coaches and coordinator sets you up for failure then wtf do you want Jalen to do?? And what is Ty Simpson going to do with these same play calls, long slow developing routes that's calls for you to hold the ball until the receiver is open, the same plays where Ryan Williams is the first read and you have zero time allowed to get to your second read because the o-line can't block for any longer because all the receivers are running 15yd routes down field??! How does Ty Simpson fix that?? Trust me, it is not on Jalen. It's cool to be frustrated with Jalen because he is good enough to put this team on his back and be the HERO, but the point is that he shouldn't HAVE TO!! And Ty Simpson ain't no damn Hero himself, no matter how much fans wishes he was. Idk why everybody talks about Ty "needing" to be the starter acting like hes a better option than Jalen, when there is ZERO evidence of that being the case. ZERO. We have not seen him play any meaningful football in any high stakes situations. So to sit here and pretend that there is any evidence of Ty being a better option is pure Jalen hate or pure delusion.
