Thanks for your love of the trail. I do live in Oxford, Al. and have hiked these mountains all of my life. I have also section hiked many miles of the Smoky Mountains. My wife and I just started spending more time in the Smokys and have been treking the A.T. in areas I had not been after watching the new and wonderful KZbin videos of recent hikers.

terry paschal thanks.. I hiked most of the AT last year until a massive bacterial infection in my foot forced me off in Connecticut. After 2 years of being mostly out east I’m excited to get back to the western mountains. I’ll be back for the AT again though! And because I am not very bright or just too type a, I’ll do the whole thing over.. have fun out there!!

I'm certainly looking forward to it. Ya know, I learned of this trail about three years ago when I first started backpacking and really wanted to hike it but I just couldn't find any real maps or info as far as the road walking part (where sections end and pick back up. So a few days ago I actually found a good website with a map (for the Alabama section but not so much for Georgia) and my aspirations for doing this trail were reborn . So now I'm looking forward to getting "out there " and just doing it!

Jason's Out There I had been wanting to hike it since I finished the PCT in 15 myself.. I collected the base data and waypoint on the Pinhoti for Atlas Guides so you can now do the entire Pinhoti #withGuthook! Have fun out there
