The singer of the Shakes need to take some notes. Just belting doesnt make you a good singer (which she isn't). This is how you sing with soul and feeling. Not just yelling your face off.

Davey C You seem really uninformed. Both bands are great rock n roll bands in their own right. You couldn’t find many singers in this generation that can sing like Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes. She’s a once a generation artist and the way she sings has been one of the main forces behind their popularity. To sit there and call someone “not a great singer” is crass especially when she’s in a genre filled with people who don’t have to sing great because it’s rock and roll. If you want perfect singers go to pop music.
