Lifelong Sonic Boom fan and biased towards the Boom...this was a spectacular performance by Alabama State's band. I am highly impressed. The band sounded superb...just amazing. The dance troupe did intricate skillful moves (and didn't just gyrate and convulse like a dance troupe I won't throw under the bus here), them tubas are NASTEEEE, i don't care for the rigid style of the drum majors but that's just a personal preference...the mamasotas had MOVES and skills! Hats off to Alabama State. This was a very very impressive performance and you should be very proud of this version of the ASU band

Stingettes brought technique back to their field shows! Their fields were good but they lacked intricacies in technique. Lea and Khalyiah are technically trained dancers and their presence is being seen on this field. Great job Stingettes!

They’ve always had technique since Yasmine’s year or really Amber’s. I think it’s been hard to assess the technique because of all the stunts being crammed into the fields. Look at Nasty Girl and Bad Girls during Janae’s year too

@@SurfNoir08 Tey's yr was really the start of more technical difficulty on the field, THOUGH I will say this because I've studied some earlier years of theirs, they've had girls with technical ability (some more than other some years) BUT the year starting with Tey was really the start of them AMPING UP that level big time, and it shows def in those following years with Amber, Yasmine, etc.

Great Halftime Show! The Stingette choreography was excellent. You could see the training in their moves. I enjoyed the HoneyBees as well. "Lovetrain" brought back memories. The band had a great sound! ...lookin' great, Prof. Robert A. Williams! from an 1982-85...Marching Hornet-Dr. Walter Bragg (currently: Tuskegee University)! ..."Lovetrain" was played on my first Phi Mu Alpha Show in April, 1983...Brother Ronald McCall was the lead singer!

The Univ of Ala is called the Million Dollar Band. Alabama State also sounds like a million dollars as well. Very proud of them. I am not a technical judge of the other elements of the band but having been in band I know what a good band sounds like. Proud of them.

Everyone can say what they want to say about Brigette , but most ( emphasis on most ) Alumni Sting & previous Sting Captains have respect for her process and it shows. She runs a very tight ship and is by no means everyone’s fave … but she knows what she’s doing. First half of the game everyone had their preconceived notions about the uniform , and who didn’t make the team etc; now after halftime , everyone is going up for them. We can all agree that what happened w/ Amir and the Stingettes from the previous year was foul but that’s out of our control. Let’s try to sit back this season and let Lea do what needs to be done; That goes for other dancelines too. Let these girls have fun. Sidenote, loved seeing Amber, Bri, and other Alumni there in support. Thanks Showtime for the footage! Off to a great start this year MMH!

Nobody gets it right the first time. This is still a organization that carries the Alabama State name and brand … and they have to act accordingly. Even if it ends up pissing off the fans. And by no means am I saying that I agree w/ half of admins decisions in the past, I’m just saying, we don’t know what really goes on behind closed doors. & IT AINT OUR BUSINESS. Lol.
