I’m born and raised in Pittsburgh. I cover hockey now but for years I wrote and was on tv covering the Steelers. I’m so excited about him as a player but even more importantly the human he is. He seems like SUCH a sincere, down to earth man. We desperately needed someone like him and I can’t wait to see him continue to grow and thrive on and off the field. The two degrees are amazing. What a human. You can’t help but root for a man like him. He deserves it.

My heart goes out to the manager of the shelter who spoke of none returning to contribute like Mr. Harris has done. It reminds me of another story were only two returned to give thanks. If these comments are at all reviewed, maybe the producers could add the name of the shelter in Richmond that provided shelter to a family of seven in need.

I’ve been following Najee’s story since he was a recruit and had Alabama as one of the finalists for his services. If you search youtube there’s a video about the food he used to it in some of the shelters he lived, the relationship with his father and much more. As a diehard Alabama fan who has watched Najee transition from a Freshmen to a Senior I did not know that he and his family was homeless at one point. I am so happy that now he is a multi-millionaire he can take care of his family and give back to the community. Lifelong steelers fan here and I hope he stays true to who he is. Seems like he has Polamalu humbleness and that is rare. Hes the type of athlete your kids can look up to. When the steelers passed on Dobbins the year before I knew they wouldnt skip the best running back in the draft 2 years in a row.
