I believe at the end of spring evaluations we will have 7-8 roster openings. We are right around 4 now. We are going to "subtract": *At least 1 WR out of the ten... *IF(and when)Simpson doesnt win the QB job in the Spring,he moves on....Probably FCS level.. *1(Possibly 2 of RBs Young,Hill,and Riley) will Portal out after A-Day... *At least 1,and possibly 2,O-Linemen Get in the Portal... *1-2 D-Linemen hit the road. *1 Backend player leaves after Spring... We will play add-on at: 1)QB(1-2) 2)RB(add 1.... go with 5 or 6....Miller,Washington,Dear,Riley,Portal,and possibly Hill.... 3)WR-We are,and will be looking for "THAT GUY" 4)Looking for THAT Plug-n-play Tyler Steen-like OLineman 5)We will add to our TE and Backend rooms IF the right guy is there. 6)Will defintely add on at ILB and the Interior D-Line IF we can play "BIG-TIME" Addition through Subtraction after A-Day? Our roster has a chance to be really nice from top to bottom for 2025. Got to figure out QB and the O-Line...That is for sure....

Despite it being his 1st season, we not only played the hardest schedule in the history of the program but we also make the playoffs had Ty Simpson started IMO. Also I heard the defense was at its best since ‘17. (Which IMO was the best defense under Saban) I don’t mean any hate towards Jalen Milroe with my earlier comment either, I’ve always had Milroe’s back but I bet even he’d tell you he cost us some games. He needs to get control over his mentality going into games and I hope he gets a great QB coach in the NFL as he can’t see past his 2nd WR. Rtr!

@louieo.blevinsmusic2011 you can blame the HC,OC and QB coach for not properly evaluating the personnel. Surely they could have ascertained that Simspson would have won more games if you were able to come to that conclusion. Or maybe you’re a better player evaluator than they are. But clearly the onus should be more on the coaches because that’s their job.

I was very lenient w/ him being his first year and the Nick Saban exodus. I thought reaching the playoffs was a realistic goal and he barely missed out. With all the starters they managed to get back and his choice at 3 competent QBs it’s Semi Finals or bust. We should’ve got Peter Woods w/ how we get ran through down the middle

Caller Mike said Simpson looked bad against USF . that was a total water slush game and he came in as a back up in those conditions and finished the game. (not bad) Milroe saved our ass a lot & shouldn't get all the blame & He's right we ain't seen enough of Simpson and they should have used Law & haynes more . RTR

When we talk about play calling and calling crossing routes or In cutting routes, that hasn’t been Jalen M strength even under Saban. He doesn’t see them fast enough so they call the throws he doesn’t well at which is go routes which you can take your drop which Jalen doesn’t cus his feet work Is terrible, and let it go. Throw it over your teammate head

Well I see Carson Beck is going to the portal and is expected to command $4million plus….maybe from Miami. All you Jalen haters out there….How would you feel if he did this? I think he would command at least that amount from someone like Lincoln Riley. I’m honestly asking the question. I know he won’t do this but IF he did?

@ I agree…but I’m not sure if he has hired an agent or not. I know he has committed to the Sr. Bowl but I don’t know if he can still get back in the portal or not. I would love for him to have a spring and summer with a real QB coach like Riley. I really thought he would get that here w/ DeBoer but to me it seemed they had no plan to develop him as a passer and rather just said..”Here’s the ball-go do what you do” His skill set is amazing but he has just never had a good QB coach or any consistency with one offense. He’s such a great guy…I really wanted him to realize his potential here at Bama but it just wasn’t to be….shame. I think Keelon comes in having already worked extensively with several outstanding QB coaches and truly has the potential to be a 1 of 1 for us…..IF we can get a lot of OL help.

I feel you. Disney has ruined college football as well. If Disney and their big bucks weren’t so involved then I’d have more hope that the NCAA would cap both NIL and the amount of transfers a player can get. Disney’s all like “hey, we’re making these kids rich/doing the right thing” but as always, they’re screwing them over as there’s absolutely no way these student athletes are getting the most out of the academics/education being offered. So a lot of these kids are gonna jump around 2-3 times taking $, have no clue about what they majored/minored in and then when the $ runs out they’ll basically be 25 y/o high school graduates….
