Some clever decisions to get around the lack of reality-warping weirdness. The smartest is probably 'Have some of column A - try all of column B' (in the animated version illustrated by huge Corinthian columns of food appearing out of nowhere) being converted into the Genie, still in maitre-d' mode, showing Aladdin the menu and gesturing down as though showing him columns in a grid.
