I cut a hole in the stainless steel plate for the stove fan. It's working very well on my Ex British army heater & stove.
I had to get the Aladdin blue flame out yesterday and fill up with paraffin. I thought i would try the stove fan on the Aladdin.
Now i know the stove fan is the way to go as it move the heat around the room. If you stand 4f away from the heater you can feel the heat hitting you. It's Amazing.

Thank you for watching and your comment. I always make sure i have a blue flame. I started using paraffin heaters in 2021 and it's the warmest i have ever been in this house. 2009 to 2021 my house was so cold with no heating.

Thank you. Look out for next video on Monday. I have been working on this stove fan paraffin heater. Now you can't touch the stove fan as it's that hot. I shall finish it today. And this will cost about £4.00 to run for 12 hours when its -1 or 3c and when its 10c and up you can get 12 hours for £2.00.

Picked up a Series 37 last week. Virtually identical to yours. Having trouble with the wick, lights well, nice blue flame, pretty even BUT after about 6-8 mins starts to flame out as if it’s fuel starved. The wick was bone dry when I got it, I’ve tried to soak it well but it’s not drawing up (I think anyway). Any tips?

It sounds like the wick ends are not sitting at the bottom of the tank. Is your wick adjuster the same as my one or is its the other wick adjuster. What you need is something like a butter knife blunt and be very careful and as you put the wick in place. Start feeding the wick ends into the tank slowley with the butter knife. Till the wick carrier meets the wick adjuster. If you have a full tank of paraffin the wick should not be dry after 6-8 minutes. If its a new wick you would need to leave it 1 hour or more. I like leving my wicks 4-8 hours with a full tank of paraffin so i know its well soaked and ready to light after that. I hope this helps you get your Aladdin series 37 up and running as it should.

@@daz.r1994 Thank you again. Tbh I don’t think it’s been used for decades, it’s in really nice condition, not messed with, it certainly hasn’t done much if anything and I expect the wick is the original one, so what’s that….50 ish years old 🤷‍♂? Does a wick even degrade? Yes my carrier is exactly the same, I think I’ll pull the wick carrier out and just see what’s what. I’m assuming it’s all ok in there but not actually looked. The fuel is fresh.

@@jfro5867 right i see now bin that wick. I thought you fitted new wick. 100% when you fit new wick your be up and running just see the wick ends go to the bottom of the tank. Buy yourself a wick cleaner at the same time as you will need one to clean the carbion deposit off the wick ones a month i do this. As your see with my videos with paraffin stoves & heaters i always buy new wicks. Wicks will degrade over time. I have used old wicks but the smell was not nice so i always buy new wick for my lamps / stoves / heaters so when you burn C1 Premium Paraffin you get no smell at all. If you are going to use in house you need all air vents open on windows and a Carbon Monoxide Alarm. Never burn the paraffin heater out of paraffin always keep it topped up. Never use cheap green house paraffin as it smells bad in house. Stick with C1 premium paeaffin for the house. This is how i have been heating my house for over 2 years now and for just over 1 year i have been boiling kettle using paraffin and now i only cook food using paraffin.

@@daz.r1994 Me again! Well, just been in the garage to remove the wick carrier & get it ready for the new wick (I actually ordered this morning). Bingo. Contrary to what I thought the old wick was completely burnt down, no wonder it was flaming out! The coloured band gave it straight away when I compared it to your video! 100% sure it will be tickety boo when the new wick goes on 👍. Appreciate your video it’s really helped me learn & suss out my burner issue, it just needed a service 😁

Condensation can be a problem running paraffin heaters. Otherwise the idea is good.

Hi Roy. I have been using paraffin heaters from 2021 and it has been great. The older Aladdin has no safety on them so if get knocked over many structures will be burned down. The Aladdin model 32 has a shut off if it gets knocked and will put out the flame.

Hi it is heating the size 34f L - 17f W - 7-1/2f H. 4 rooms no problem. The stove fan is moving the heat around to the other rooms. If i did not use the stove fan you are right it will only heat one room.
