i really wanted to watch this film since very long.. finally i watched it before a week. but i dint impress. i had so many expectations from this film. film story made it very dull and put boring twists. but somehow i liked aesthetic classic vibe. foggy roads and backgrounds are very good.. even delons style .. but i feel storywise its very weak

Согласна,фильм замечательный! И у Делона, это одна из лучших его ролей, хотя изначально, она предназначалась для Марчело Мастрояни. Тогда, это был бы совсем другой фильм. Только Делон смог отобразить глубину чувств героя, его игра потрясает, а финал фильма опустошает, смотреть невозможно... Очень долго ходила под впечатлением после 1-го просмотра... Делон сдесь особенно красив! Зурлини снял шедевр!

The movie requires a deeper, more profound understanding about the moral consequences of choices. Extremely proud of him taking on this uncommercial project. He perfectly portrays the complicated construct of a contemporary classics professor--it was filmed in 1972. And he rocks the shit out of that fabulous camel overcoat.
