These two points are not only true to Itik 'Pinas, but generally true to plants & animals used in (production) agriculture. Very foundational to a functional animal & crop production is the formula of phenotype: Phenotype (P) = f[Genotype + Environment + (Genotype x Environment)] Any full-blooded farmer/agriculturist must know this so to make sense of animal & crop production. To make income (i.e., money) out of animal & crop production, we try to determine the economic trait(s) (i.e., phenotypes that are translatable to cash economically/efficiently) if they are present in our plants or animals. For example, egg production rate (as mentioned in the video). Existing layer flocks prior to Itik 'Pinas have low egg laying rate. Hence, by way of a structured/programmed selection & breeding, genotypes that influence egg laying rate are selected & bred to produce future flocks that will carry & express such genotypes, thereby, increasing egg laying rate. High egg laying rate translates to more # of eggs produced, therefore, more eggs sold.

Sir Buddy I am one of your avid viewers from the US. Baka meron kayong forum na pwede itayo ng mga farms from different industries for sale or maybe for rent? Pwede kang maging conduit ng potential investors to get in those farms who are probably struggling and need more cash to boost their productivity or maybe they could have more earning potential but just could not do so because of lack of cash. Investors can provide that. Parang franchising business na din in a way kasi plug and play ang hanap ng investors minsan. I’m sure some people there na tinabangan na sa hirap ng farming pero may facilities na in place might want to get out but we might be able to provide the replacement to continue their business. You can actually do that habang nag iikot ka sa buong Pilipinas.

I think the 1st factor should be consider regarding the egg production is the quantity and quality of the feeds. Considering na good quality ung itik/duck na inaalagaan mo pero low quality or less nman ung pinapakain mo. I'm sure na less productivity ung egg nila per day

OFW po nags start na po me nag alaga ng itik ng Itik Pinas hoping kng ok na ang egg production mag for good na po me.. kaso mahirap as in ang mahal ng feeds ngayon tas kaka start lang peak production ng 80% tapos biglang bumababa ang egg production seguro isang reason is maulan ulan sa amin ngayon in Agusan del Norte. Napaiisip tuloy ako itutuloy ko ang pag for good or not..#expectionvsreality.

Itik Pinas is bred primarily for egg production po. Its genotype is selected more towards fertility, egg size, egg uniformity, etc. than large body size & weight, high ADG, etc. Yung mas mainam na species ng duck pang-meat production ay Cairina muschata. Halimbawa nito ay yung mga Peking ducks. Ito po talaga ang pang-karne.

Nsgingbmas mahal po ang presyo ng itik pinas compare to mixed breed which is ang point ng oag buli ng itik pinas is para mas maganda ang pag generate ng income pero kung i compute mo parang dun n din napunta ang pera na dapat ay ma generate throung itik pinas dahil sa price difference 😅 at ganun din ang haba ng panahon n pakikinabangan mo ang itik san ang ma research nila ay yung mga itik n mas mahabang panahon n nangingitlog
