Yesterday, I asked my guitarist friend Jordan Lim for coffee downtown because… I heard he just got his new custom made guitar a few days ago, a solid wood, jumbo model made by the very talented local luthier william alama. I wanted to check it out. I wanted to hear how it sounds in front of me and how it feels when i play it.
Even though Jumbo guitars are not as common as the other models like the dreadnought, Grand auditorium, OM, and the other small guitar models, I think the jumbo guitar have its own place to fill. Like i think it’s very nice to be played as rhythm guitar for a rock band. And i think that’s what Jordan is intending to use this guitar for.

Very cool guitar! I love the way that Phlippinos make the best from what they have and get a new take on things, and produce something beautiful like this guitar. I would much rather have this guitar than most mass produced guitars. Great work by the luthier!
