They make great guitars there in Negros Oriental... All the luthiers there are the best! From custom made guitars to restoring antique guitars like Lacote Panormo, Manuel Ramirez etc.. The best sila dyan. Sadly they don't get as much attention like the ones in Cebu and Pampanga... Pero quality, exponentially, iba ang craft nila at methodology sa Guitar Making.

love the bindings, fret and bridge work, napakaganda at astig. i will be so proud to own one.. though it seems sharp to my liking, similar to my tak. one area that I think it can improve is the mirror finish look; the pop marks are too prominent against a light source (lack of pore/grain filling, see 0:30) other than that, I don't mind spending the 300 quids.

nitrocellulose finish yan boss kaya ganyan appearance. Sa mga high-end guitars lang ginagawa yan like mga custom made sa ibang bansa. Ung nakikita nyo na normal na smooth finish sa mga known brands ay polyester and polyurethane finishes.

the nitro finish is associated with cracking on premium instruments, nothing to do with pores nor wood grain - cracks were due to extreme temp changes. A mirror-like finish can be achieved with several layers without the pores impression using nitro.

@@xunny410q Nitrocellulose is considered to be more porous than polyester or polyurethane, with a thin, smooth and somewhat slippery texture that isn’t quite as solid or constrictive. So the texture we see here is quite ok. That is intended for the top wood to vibrate better resulting to more open sound which is perfect for acoustic guitars.

Craftwise maganda talaga Alama.. Tonewise, for me, medyo ma-reverbish masyado or yong fundamental kulang, lalo na pag strumming..

Probably sa body type since dread is a bigger body compare sa OM hence kaya mas naeemphasize yung reverb or echoing effect nung tone... doon din nag mamatter yung xbrace vs vbrace... xbrace towards that woody lower end sound while vbrace is towards ephasizing the higher end tone lastly yung wood combination... gmelina and acacia... gmelina kasi even though nasa spruce family if tama ako yung tonal characteristics nya is more on between sitka and cedar pero mas leaning cedar plus acacia is nsa koa family... 😊 kaya on my alama I opted out talaga yung redwood and ebony combination para to balanced out yung bigger body ng fmodel kua very rounded yung sakin which favorable for me since more on fingerstyle yung playing ko

@@SimplyAcoustics I had one from them (spruce/mahogany), small bodied pero yon lang din napansin ko, too much reverb(overtones?). I agree its probably their bracing(double X brace yong sa akin) and probably neck joint (napansin ko manipis yong joint nya). Invidual notes okay pero strum doon na. Maybe dahil when you strum lahat ng string nakavibrate kaya cguro sa pandinig ko hindi na balance out ang reverb(sobra). But all in all malinis talaga gawa nila. Cguro lang need nila iadjust yong bracing nila to compensate that.

Tama si gelbert yung natatandaan ng utak naten yung nakasanayam so pag meron nag bago hinahanap mo yung date, dapat comfortable ka sa set up para kahit 2 hours ka tumugtog hindi ka pagod applicable sha sa lahat ng instrument, si gelbert alam ko mababa set up nya da bass nya.
