PSA: just a reminder that RPM (round per minute) and ROF (rate of fire) are different. RPM means how many rounds you can shoot in one minute. In The Hunt, this includes reload time. ROF isn't a stat listed in The Hunt, but rate of fire is how quickly the gun shoots bullets. This is generally independent of reload time. Yes, both RPM and ROF use "one minute" as a standard reference point of time, but the stats are slightly different -- but in a meaningful way. The regular Romero can shoot more shells in 60 seconds because reloading between shots ends up being faster than filling a tube full of shotgun shells (and putting one in the chamber?) after you've exhausted your supply of shells. However, the Romero Alamo can shoot its 6 shots - the full "magazine" if you will - faster than the Romero can shoot 6 shots, reloading between each. If you compare both guns, the Alamo is ready to fire shell #2 noticably faster than the regular Romero is ready to shoot shell #2. And so on, until the Alamo must be completely reloaded. So the Alamo has a faster ROF, even though it has a slower RPM. I know which I'd rather have in my corner during an intense firefight. P.S. The Alamo can also reload one shell at a time - so you honestly get the best of both worlds anyway depending on the situation. But you're almost always going to want to use the quickfire option unless you're doing some long distance peeking shots. And even then its debatable.

Reading that a year later I wonder when they started including both stats :D (Tho they use Rate of Fire as "Shots per Minute including reload time" and a "Cycle time", so, not per minute bust just how long between two shots, tho that makes more sense for old weapons anyway, overall good info to have tho :D)

The Romero is my favorite Shotgun because of the tight spread and high range. It feels like the most reliable one-tap option with buckshot while also being the cheapest. Love to see more variants of it.

I thought it was to be used just like the regular Romero. You take your shot back up reload and go back in if you aren’t switching to your sidearm. The only difference being it has the increased tube capacity, and you could react slightly faster in gunfights. Not necessarily something to compete with the spectre, slate and such on. I could be wrong. Just my impression of it so far.

I find it to be a quite entertaining weapon, and I appreciate the value it can bring to a fresh prestige, since unlocking that variant will be the first, albeit “worse”, rapid fire shotgun that can carry you to a specter or whatever alse

the reason the Romero is so accurate at range is because of its barrel length, it has a full-length barrel, unlike the hand-cannon version

Yeah they made it so ammo boxes and consumable boxes glow and even after being used which is so silly because they 1) Don't need to glow because they are brightly colored and 2) How open they are indicates how many uses remain. Honestly, this looks like the most promising event/update for Hunt yet. The guns look good, the Sparks pistol is kinda goofy due to lack of historical accuracy not to mention shooting a .45-110 in a pistol would HURT and have terrible ballistics coming out of a short barrel, all I can say is decreasing the amount of slugs is silly because 200 bucks for them before was a bit rich but now you carry even less and they have a shorter kill range for most shotguns. It's fun, but I wish they would have added something else that could have long term functionality. Most people are going to use this for fun during the event because it's new and a little bit after but then go back to the Specter and Slate because they're more comfortable, especially after you consider unlock requirements because I don't foresee this gun being a low level unlock for most people who aren't gods of Hunt.

I feel like if they buffed the db kill range just a little more, and increased the muzzle velocity to 200m it could be pretty balanced. It is however great at setting people on fire from range, you can light people on fire +35m with the Alamo lol. Won’t do a lot of damage but would apply some pressure while being an easy shot to land

In regards to dragon's breath, these were a couple ideas a few of my friends and I came up with to help it along. Damage itself could be reduced but causes more burn per pellet. This would make being hit by it scary in terms of simply losing your bars in general to a solid hit or becoming a one tap away from pretty much anything. Personally I think the damage is nice as is but as a weapon that has the function to burn away bars sometimes you end up killing someone before the burn ends up burning a bar away anyway. And if it is to remain as is (which in terms of damage feels completely fine to me), the muzzle velocity needs a boost. Sometimes it feels like you could take the shell and throw it faster than it would take for the pellets to reach their target. In it's current state, if you were to use buckshot at the distance it would take for the dragon's breath to be viable, it would outright kill the player anyways so why not use it over the fire rounds. With an increase to the muzzle velocity, it would help the dragon's breath rounds have a bit more versatility and allow it to fall in line with the current state of other shotgun rounds. Just throwing some thoughts out there. I LOVE dragon's breath for the memes, but why must we let our memes be dreams?

it's not the best gun but damn is it so fun and satisfying to play with. really like how it looks and feels, and when it's fully loaded it's just fast enough to chain kills together if you play the movement right. my only problem with it is only having 5 bullets in reserve but i mean i cant rly complain there's ammo everywhere and if the game wasn't hard it wouldn't be so rewarding to win.
