Ceramic caps are round, lower voltage are brown higher voltage are generally light blue. All of these have silver plating inside. Tantalum capacitors older ones look like bullets or tic tacs, newer ones are little black boxes they will always have a polarity marking. These have a tantalum slug with silver plating on it inside. Foil mylar capacitors will be cylindrical or chicklet shaped most of these are green but bigger ones are any color. Electrolytic capacitors are generally small to large aluminum cylinders. The legendary mlcc capacitors are either rectangular dipped in a brownish coating or small brown chips on the board. These have palladium and silver inside.❤

Nice to find a fellow Alamo scrapper. Just moved back to shitty Chicago after 10 years in S.A. Can't wait to go back.

Helpful hint. Cut your printed circuit boards into 2 inch strips with a pair of nice cutters or a guillotine style paper cutter. Throw them (a couple at a time ) into a rotisserie with a wire basket and and aluminum drip pan.... everything will fall right off and you won't believe the amount of solder and small parts that will fall right into the drip pan between 10-15 minutes. The solder will have tin $20 lb, silver $32 and possibly lead 2 lb depending upon the age of the boards. Thanks for the video and help.

You can work on other shit while your rotisserie is collecting money for you.

on the board there are letters and numbers that tell you what it is r for resistor c for capacitor just giving alittle help out on how to tell what component it is.

7:48 How do you know that black cap isn't a SMD Polymer Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor ?

Because their are manuals that you can look up to verify what you're looking at.

I have a question about the deposition of silver with palladium and how to separate the two from some and what materials are used and thank you very much.

Well I know most of the information that you say is is accurate but honestly by accident I accidentally broke a yellow one a square one one time like the ones you have on the tweezers and honestly it was an older board but I seen gold inside of it I don't know if that's the color of tantalum or not but I was just you know wanted to know is that is that what it's supposed to look like or because that was by accident did I accidentally broke them broke it with my pliers and I seen gold inside of it

Thanks a lot. Great video. Can you please tell us where you can sell these? In the Netherlands I cannot find a buyer. And for what price can you sell these?
@TwoOneOScrapping7 жыл бұрын
That's a hard question as I live in America, here they pay around $25 pound for them. I looked for buyers in your area and found nothing. I don't know if the shipping cost would be worth it to sell them at all. Maybe if yo get a hundred pounds or so then it will be beneficial.

I believe there is only one place in the UK too, off the top of my head I can't think of the name of the company unfortunately but I'm sure it could be found easily enough but I do know they only buy 25 kilos upwards of electronic components.
