Alan Arkin Dead at 89

Oscar and Tony-winning actor Alan Arkin, who is best known for his role in 'Little Miss Sunshine,' died at the age of 89. His other works include 'Edward Scissorhands,' 'Argo,’ 'The Kominsky Method' and many more.

I was always worried this day would happen ...Alan Arkin was a determined character actor...his characters were compelling, hilarious, honesty and relatable...Edwin Hoover is a perfectly written character that would not have been believable if he didn't play it

First movie I remeber him in was Escape from Sobibor. We watched it in school to learn about the concentration camps. Very powerful performance in that movie. I loved him in Edward Scissorhands, and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. Liked he could play comedy and light hearted as well as serious roles.

Years ago Adam Atkin stared in a tv show called “Busting loose” about a young man leaving home and going on his own…. There was one episode where his dad appeared…. Sadly, all I saw was a preview where apparently Alan played Adam’s grandfather and at one point Alan dressed up like an Indian chief. If anyone saw this episode, please let us know what it was about.
