I loved this book. Alan Carter is top shelf. Writing this must have been heart breaking for him. I'm glad he's found peace with himself and wish all the best for him and his family. I truly respect this man and his guts to write about his heart breaking story. I both laughed and cried reading the book. A good bloke no doubt. I hope someday to meet Alan. Dave Bennett, Indiana USA

People often fail to realize how quick life can change and how precious those moments of health and happiness are. Aristotle taught us in allegory in the cave that humans even In misery find a place of comfort but he never said it would be easy. Thank you for sharing your story and congradulations on your fine book.

I just remembered his name from a large photo in the Japanese magazine named Grand Prix Illustrated, which I subscribed to, of a rider aggressively attacking a corner. I was about 15 years old. Thanks .

Will never forget Brands Hatch 1985 on a mixed practice, I was on a 750 and Alan on the 250 came past me like I was looking for parking.

I wish Alan all the best , he seems a genuinely nice bloke who had to endure an extremely hard life emotionally, saw Kenny ride many times at Hull and Halifax , always seemed a tough nut whereas Alan seems a lot more softer personality.

Wow, this brings back memories, I knew Kenny when I was 15, he came down to Copley "scramble" track...under the railway arches with a 7 speed? EMC Moto X bike, used to go up to Mal's farm up Norland to buy CB radios LOL, I hated what he did to his Wife and himself, pissed me the fk off . Always up at the Pharaoh Garage on a weekend looking at the bikes..
