I used to listen to Alan Cross on the radio all the time in the early 90s. I never saw him though. I think this is the first time I've seen him.

I am a veteran 30+ yr musician. From a musician's perspective - this can be argued as one of the greatest bands ever. The fact that they can still work together after all these years - is, frankly a result of how they decided (long ago) to approach their careers. I say that - because surely they had discussions about these things - songwriting, profit splitting, etc. They way they conduct business artistically is not exactly par for the course. It is very deliberate. What they have been able to pull off, for as long as they have, is quite a unique achievement. (I am having a hard time describing this - but any musician in a band who reads this - will know exactly what I am talking about).

Absolutely. In my mind there's the Beatles and everyone else, and Sloan is right up there with the best of them. They deserve so much more credit and attention, but I feel blessed to have a local band that I've been able to follow and catch live so often (more than any other act).

The fact that the do trade off instruments, and that each member of the band plays several different instruments (all very well); is both impressive and makes them multidymamic in their songwriting. As vocalists they are great and how they harmonize.... It's better than a lot of music elsewhere today. They are great to see live. Awesome band :)

Great point made..I cannot think of another band who collaborates, and who contribute, musucally as much and as well as these guys.. What other band can you think of (besides the Beatles) who can match the songwriting and musicianship talent as these guys.. ;)
