@@Ukman-england it’s illegal in the U.K. to trap and sell wild birds. Are there some people who break this law, I’m sure there are but there’s no room for them in the hobby

@@Ukman-england I think it’s unlikely, but not impossible, the diet of a wild goldfinch is dictated by what it can access, a captive bred bird has been conditioned on a specific diet for generations. Wild caught birds, I’m told, tend not to live very long in captivity
