I was going thru a crapp divorce nine years ago. I was a trainwreck. Drinking and drugging my life away. Couldn't hold a job and was ready to check out of here. Then one night in June of 2012 I met the woman that would change my life forever. To make a long story short I danced with her in my driveway at 3am in the morning to this song. Fast forward two years later we were married and she gave me a beautiful baby boy and life hasn't been the same.

Yep, us Southern boys appreciate hard work and great country. I love the Blue Ridge Mountains and the wide open spaces the South offers too. Southern born and bred and when I die I will be Southern dead. I really love the Southern Gospel too and it is good to know that when I am Southern dead my Lord awaits me when I go on home. God bless our country and especially its Southern people.
@swspartanhwk4 жыл бұрын
So true I may have not been born in the south or live there right now but every time I visit I feel like belong. I work my ass off every day and love country and the outdoors. I may not look it cause I am a geek and look like one but I am country and love it. Hope to one day live in the south and hope I'll be welcomed
@yourinnervoiceyourinnervoi85524 жыл бұрын
@@swspartanhwk I am from Missouri. Not exactly Deep South, but what I have found from folks I’ve met and a couple visits, is that to be accepted in the south is easy. Follow these guidelines: Don’t lie. Be who you are. Keep your word. Have manners. Show respect and it will be returned, don’t think people have to earn yours first. Don’t be afraid of a little hard work. Listen to an elder when they speak, it’s free education. And Bless Your Heart means you’re irritating a lady 😂. A polite yankee who loves and appreciates the culture is a southerner in training, they’ll accept ya just fine.

He's just a singer, a natural born guitar ringer Kind of a clinger to sad old songs He's not a walk-behinder, he's a new note finder But his name's a reminder Of a blues man that's already gone So he started drinkin', took some things that messed up his thinkin' He was sure sinkin' when she came along He was alone in the spot light, not too much left in sight She changed all that one night When she sang him this song Hey baby, I love you, Hey baby, I need you Hey baby, you ain't got to prove to me You're some kind of macho man You've wasted so much of your life Runnin' through the dark nights Let me shine a little love light Down on that blues man He got so sick from speedin', all the things they said he was needin' If he was to keep on pleasin' all of his fans He got cuffed on dirt roads, he got sued over no shows She came and took all that old load Down off that blues man, and he sang Hey baby, I love you too, Hey baby, I need you Hey baby, I do get tired of this travelin' band I'm over forty years old now, nights would be cold now If you hadn't stuck it out With this blues man He's over forty years old now, nights would be so cold now If she hadn't hung around With that blues man
