Accepted christ in my heart in 2013, went and served uncle Sam in the United States Air Force in 2014. Deployed to Afghanistan and about to get out and have a career in the electrical field just like my grandfather did. Life is a journey enjoy it and never be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone. We only get 1 life. It's to short just to sit in one place your whole life.

Ill tell you exactly where it went: hard work, Christian virtue, and honor are not held as ideals for so many, so there goes the music that stood for it. Good news is that you can still find this type of music, you just have to dig in the woods a little to find the people who sing it. Proud to hear our music is appreciated in France! - A Southern Man

This song was dedicated to my grandfather by the priest in their small southern town.. It was played at his funeral in front of 400 people. Family man, rancher, honorary director for Texas cattle raising association, county commissioner, county judge, man of the year in agriculture, POW korea, but most importantly, my grandfather. I am a 60 years old woman from Poland. I used to live in Texas for several years. At that time, I did not realise what treasure the country music was. I love this song and the lyrics - Bowed his head to Jesus, stood by uncle Sam, only loved one woman - what beautiful values... I only wish uncle Sam and all the uncle Sams of other nations stood by the small town man not by the globalists, financiers and international corporations ... but this is another story.

keep Poland Polish. its one of the last few European countries that are proud of its culture and people, which are White People. the USA was once a white country, now whites are a minority and ofc the country is now 2nd world soon to be 3rd world. the globalists what white people dead, dont let them kill your great culture. i wish to visit Poland one day, and i want it to still be Poland when i visit, not Pakistan or Libya... France, Germany, the UK have all fallen to globalists and have had their populations replaced by 3rd worlders. London literally looks like Pakistan these days.

This song reminds me of my grandpa. He was a small town boy from Michigan. After he graduated high school, he married my grandma and had my dad, aunt, and uncle shortly after. They relocated to California for my grandpa’s work. Even though he’s been living in California after all these years, he’s still a midwest man at heart.

Beautiful song. I grew up a city boy. For the last 18 years, I've worked as a LEO in Alberta. Working rural has turned me into a "Small Town Southern Man." Just recently I've bought the rural property that I've always dreamed of. Everyday I thank Jesus Christ for the beautiful blessings in my life, especially for my amazing wife and daughter. 😊❤

Small town Southern man. The hospitality, the spirit, the talent, the great foods are among the great things that make the South, the hospitality center. Any one who hates this song must be a fool indeed.

Roy Logan What section of this country HASN'T done bad things in the past??Maybe you should ask the poor starving Irish immigrant who came to New York and went to work for one of the robber baron industrialist at 10 cents an hour..or maybe one of the Plains Indians who had their land stolen and then rounded up and herded together like cattle and forced to live on reservations...or one of the indigenous Mexicans of California,Nevada or Arizona who also had their land taken and forced to live as second class citizens in their own ancestral home land..Don't buy into the Hollywood /News Media guilt trip...we have done nothing worse than any other section of this nation..

I heard this for the first time today at a funeral . The words fit the deceased perfectly, and I hold them dearly in my heart. I’m from Pennsylvania, but I was raised in Florida. One of my best friends ever was blessed by small town Southern men: daddy, uncle, brother. My husband is a big city Southern man. A good man. There’s a difference. I’m jealous, but I’ve benefited from her wisdom framed by the small town Southern men in her life. Thank you for this song. It sure was fitting for Mr. Merrill Griffis, and it will make me smile everyday.
