I remember it. I was 7 and in 2nd grade of school in South Texas. I remember just getting to school at 8:00 am and shortly after, everyone's parents were checking their children out of school in fear of schools being hit. When I graduated highschool, I joined the US Army. I served 8 years and got out. Now, I'm a FireFighter. Every year, we climb up 110 flights of stairs with a tag for a fallen firefighter. The climb is done is full gear plus SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus). I love your videos! Keep up the amazing work and thank you for reacting to this song.

I was a soldier in the UNITED STATES ARMY stationed at Camp Humphreys South Korea. It was roughly midnight in korea, i had a side gig as a DJ in an off post night club, and i remember seeing it on the TV and asking the owner of the bar what happened because naturally i couldn't read nor understand what was beeing said on the tv. She tells me that she thinks 2 planes collided into each other, so me thinking its an accident continue to play music and have a good time, only to realize when i try to get back on base and everything is locked down what really happened. I remember the anger i felt, the fear, the uncertainty, but most of all i remember the pride i felt in putting on that uniform the next morning that said U.S ARMY.

I was in kindergarten. I’m now a firefighter. Even though I was young when this happened I remember it and this was one of my drives to be a fireman. I always struggle with this day because so many of my brothers and sisters were killed that day. Also flight 93 went down only a few miles from my house. It’s flight pattern was literally right over my town. Never forget.

One of the things that I remember from that day was my Grandmother, who was fifteen when Pearl Harbor happened in 1941, and the look on her face when she realized what was happening. That her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren now had to have memories of an attack on their country. This song, even though it has been nineteen years, still brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it.

My parents were about 10 when Pearl Harbor happened. They always remembered in detail about that day. I can do this same thing They knew what the future was going to be because of the attack. My dad ,just like his did when Pearl Harbor happened,never turned off the news.

I was getting ready to get on a plane to go to work in the Bering Sea off the coast of Alaska when the first plane hit. I had family that worked in the building's and couldn't get a hold of them. Later I found out they stayed home because they were sick. Every day I thank god for the extra time he gave to me to spend with them. Thank you Gitana for this. Remember If we learn nothing else from this tragedy, we learn that life is short and there is no time for hate. There was no race, color, or division that day we were just praying for each other and helping where we could.

This is a beautiful song, it brought a tear to my eye. I ride with a Motorcycle club that was founded in memory of a Port Authority Police officer that died that day. The last photo taken of him, he was helping firefighters carry an injured woman out of the towers using a door as a stretcher. Shortly after he was rescuing a group of survivors from an elevator shaft. As he got them out the doors, he was struck by falling debris that threw him into a nearby taxi killing him... Long live the memory of Port Authority Police Officer David Lemagne, Badge number 834 and all the other Heroes that selflessly gave their lives that day.... #neverforget

I was 11 sitting in my English class and our teacher turned the TV on. We all watched as it happened. When I was 18 I joined the army. I served 11 years and deployed twice. This was easily the leading factor for me wanting to fight for our country. Both of my boys have told me that they want to join the military. 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲

I was in high school, 10th grade. Algebra class with Mr. Stancil. Another teacher knocked on the door and whispered something to Stancil. He told us something was happening in New York but they weren't sure what and he turned on the TV, this was right after the first plane hit. My entire class, I assume most of the school watched live as the rest of the events occured that day.... we watched as the second plane hit and we knew our country was under attack..... we watched as those towers collapsed one by one, and we knew there were still thousands of people in them. We watched as the reports came in of the plane hitting the Pentagon. We watched as reports of a fourth plane came in that crashed in a field, who's brave passengers managed to storm the cockpit and force the plane down before they could hit their intended target - The White House. All we knew is that whomever was responsible was going to pay dearly in the coming days, weeks and years. Tens of thousands of young people signed up for military service right after this to make them pay, and they have.

Once I heard the pentagon was attacked I was waiting to hear the president had ordered a nuclear strike. I still think we should have launched a tactical nuclear strike. Even if innocents would have died the world needed to be shown that if you attack the United States we will retaliate with overwhelming and overpowering force. No country can stand up to our military if the rules are thrown out and the full might of the US military is brought to bare.

Thank you for this reaction! I love it so much! I was in 4th grade in school in upstate New York. There were a bunch of teachers in the hall where they were told. They ran in and turned on the news and were visibly shaken. At the time only one tower was hit and they thought it was just a horrible tragedy. Then we saw the second plane hit. The teachers dropped to the floor cuz they realized the whole thing was no accident if the same thing happened to the neighboring building not 15 minutes later. They kept the news rolling but some teachers were directed to keep us from seeing it and distract us. The lessons stopped the rest of the day. We were directed into the auditorium for moments of silence and prayer. They talked about sending us home for the day but they had orders to keep us where we were at. At the end of the day when I got home I was in a fog still thinking it was a bad accident. My mom sat me down and told me it wasn’t an accident and made it very real. My mom was not one to censor anything happening in the world and I’m grateful for that. She taught me tremendous compassion on that day. I remember the fear that day and the days following not knowing if there were going to be more attacks or where the attacks were going to be. I remember people talking and crying that they were going after skyscrapers. We had just learned about skyscrapers in school and there were a lot of them throughout the USA. Every year since I remember every detail of that day. I learn more and more about that day each year, there was just too much for me to take in in one single day. Now I have a playlist for 9/11. Survivor stories, the news castings, hero stories, the phone calls from planes; those trapped; the airlines; the heros that called home. I taught my daughter about it this year. Every year prior she always asked me and my husband why mommy is always crying today and I taught her what my mom taught me. I don’t want the nation to forget that day. If they forget- then the lives lost will lose their meaning I feel like. I didn’t lose anybody, but there were people who did and I want them to know- I saw it, I felt it, I remember with them. I pray for them and I love them.

As soon as it came on the news, we severed all external connections, ran an emergency backup, turned off the phones, brought up all the news feeds on the various large screens and went outside Colorado Springs has NORAD, USAF Academy, FT Carson and some other places. I was pulling up to get coffee on my way to work. My wife called me to tell me. The CFO from our company was on the plane that hit the first tower. It was heartbreaking. The guy I worked for lost his best friend and best man from his wedding. I felt for him. He was stuck Calgary in a hotel alone. I WILL NEVER FORGET🙏 I had just graduated that June; 8 months pregnant, I was a brand new mother on September 11th to a two month old baby boy. I did not put my baby down that whole day, he stayed in my arms and I prayed! It was a Tuesday, and I was in my first semester of college. When I first heard people talk about it, I thought they were talking about a movie until the professor dismissed us and I went to the campus hang out and saw the news. Alan Jackson does a great job of capturing the range of emotions that were felt. The main hook of the song comes from the "Love" Chapter in the Bible (1st Corinthians chapter 1) "Now these three remain: faith, hope, and love, and the greatest of these is love." I was installing a huge piece of glass in a big house in Parma, Ohio, me and my 3 coworkers, when our boss burst into the customers home, yelled for us to STFU, stand fast, and he turned on the customers tv....the first tower had just began to fall, and I got pissed off cuz I thought it was some movie he wanted to finish watchin, hell I didn't know wtf...til I saw the word LIVE in the corner of the screen....I enlisted 2 weeks later, served two combat tours in Iraq, and wish I could've served more with the men in my units....US Army 29E Hooah

I was an eighth grade PE class I was standing about 5 ft from the glass door to let you out the side door. One of my classmates came in told us what happened. Sexist me at the time was like oh who is a female pilot. And then I heard a second plan hit from another classmate. My heart dropped. our teachers did not let us or would not let us no anything that was going on because we had three major tests. The classes above us and below us got to know it but we didn't all because of fucking test. This makes me wish I could rejoin the Army but I can't do to medical problems. Rest in RIP to those that passed away on that faithful day. And God bless everyone that joined because of that day

I was teaching at a Military School and we had four Saudi military students in the class with 22 mixed service US troops. I put it up on the projection screen of the classroom. It was a tough seen but everybody maintained their professionalism and we protected our Saudi students while we checked for orders and deployment instructions. To this day I am still friends with the Saudi students who have fought with us against insurgence in Iraq and Afghanistan. I am grateful that I had my military brethren with me that morning.

I was living in Annapolis MD at the time, worked in DC. My sister was taking care of my uncle, who was dying. She lived just outside of Philly, 2 hours north. My ex and I with our boys went up to visit the previous weekend. I saw how exhausted she was and told my ex to go home, I'll take the train down, I'm gonna help my sister out. Well, on Tuesday my nephew called around 9 am and said "turn on the news." Almost as soon as we turned it on, the second plane struck. We told my uncle, who was bedridden for weeks, what had happened. Later that day, he got out of bed to watch the news. If I remember correctly, that was the last time he got out of bed before he died about a week later. Memories, my ex and I trying to talk to each other on the phone all day. Couldn't because the lines were JAMMED. BTW, the first time I heard this song, I was driving to work. I had to pull over because I was SO overwhelmed.

Just found this! You do such an amazing job! Nothing fake, very genuine. I was a freshman in college, watching the entire event unfolding. We were also 25 miles from a nuclear power plant in Arkansas. My baseball career ended the next season due to a back injury, in 2003, and I enlisted in the US Marine Corps 4 months later. I just discovered this channel tonight. I remember exactly where I was, I was in school second grade reading class. I remember how I felt, coming from a military family, and understanding as much of it as I could, it hit hard. Shortly after watching the second plane impact the tower, our parents began to pick us up from school. My mother was a mess because my father was at the Pentagon that day. It was my driving fuel to join the military and subsequently become a first responder. I appreciate the video and the time you took to honor all of those impacted by the terrible tragedy. We will never forget!

My best friend called me to tell me. I was sleeping and we didn't have tv so we listened to the radio. My whole family sat around the radio. We watched jets escort a plane to SeaTac airport. It was one of the craziest days of my life and considering the hell our country has gone through over the last few years that's saying something.

I was only home a few months after being paralyzed and watching the TV that morning. I think I was angry not just at what happened but myself and the position I was in at the time and not being able to enlist. When I went to back rehab I remember feeling an overwhelming sense of pride and patriotism. I was on the Jersey side but close to New York and remember seeing all the American flags draped over the sides of overpasses and buildings with flags at half mast. For the 1st time in my life it felt, as a country, we were unified Because of seeing the flags and personally knowing both 1st responders, construction crews who helped seal off the subways and remove debris, along with people in the towers, I have never felt so proud to be an American. Thank you to all the people of the world who helped in any way, gave up their lives, or just prayed for everyone involved

I was a sophomore in high school, Spanish class. Someone had come in and said a plane had hit the WTC. News hadn't really broke coverage yet. Teacher said we would check later if we had time. We didn't. Went to lunch and large crowd was gathered in the library (only TV in that building), and no one was talking. I won't forget that silence or the images. For Alan Jackson songs, there is a whole list: Home, Drive, Little Man, Right on the Money...that's just a few off the top of my head you might like. It's fun to watch people discover new artists and music they haven't heard before. Next thing you know, you'll be listening to George Strait, Garth Brooks, Chris Ledoux, Randy Travis, Martina McBride, Trisha Yearwood...if you haven't already :)

Thank you for this song today, my heart still aches. I'm live in Mobile, Alabama, USA. I remember, my 6 yr old son was already dressed and ready for daycare and I was getting ready for work. I remember walking into the living room and seeing the first building burning, I thought it was a movie or something and turned the TV off. I worked basically as an intern for an insurance company at the time. When I got to work, my co-workers were standing around the TV not saying a word. The entire office was silent. That is when I realized it was real and my heart dropped to my stomach. Then I became afraid for my son because I didn't know how widespread this was going to go. I still go into a depression a few days before and it lasts almost to the end of September because Sept 16, 2004, my grandfather passed away. I still keep all the families in my prayers. We must never forget! No matter how much it hurts! The hurt will force us to strive to be better!

I was stationed on the USS Theodore Roosevelt, suppose to deploy on the 17th of September. I was home on leave, heard it on the radio, called the ship and they said "get back now". The ship deployed so fast that we didn't know all the details until we were launching aircraft off the coast of Afghanistan. The famous 9/11 flag that the firefighters were pictured with was flown out to the ship and we flew it from the mast for the rest of the deployment. As we were coming back home, those firefighters were flown out the ship and in a ceremony, we gave the flag back to them. I wasn't at ground zero, but that deployment was hard...i want to forget, but cannot.

You are so amazing. You're emotions touch my heart. My wife and I had just separated the day before 911. I had custody of our 2 little girls it was a very tough time. I was standing in the kitchen in California getting a cup of coffee when I seen the 2nd plane crash into the world trade centre. I am an army veteran myself and wanted to serve my country again but I was too old and I had the responsibility of raising my 2 little girls. That day will be forever imprinted on my mind. This song always brings tears to my eyes. I'll never forget that day. I was working in a mailing company factory 10 minutes from Camp David, Thurmont Maryland. They sent us all home because word was out that they thought the third plane was going to hit Camp David. I was just out of High School (Graduated in June 2001). It was a Wednesday, because I remember having bowling that night and I bowled on a bowling league on Wednesday nights. Everyone showed up to the bowling alley and we all prayed together before we started our games. The news was on every TV in the bowling alley and the veterans who were there were glued to the TVs. It was a very weird time not knowing what was going on at the time, with it only being hours after the attacks. One thing I know is that We Will NEVER FORGET. Even with the Main Stream Media and the elites trying to make us forget. #NeverForget #GodBlessAmerica

I was in 7th Grade. Technology Education class. We were listening to the Rock Station, and in the middle of the song the music cut off and the DJ told the listeners that a plane hit the World Trade Center in NYC. We raised our hands, got our teachers attention, and relayed the news to him. He thought we were lying to him, but he humored us and turned the TV in the classroom on anyways. And the image on the TV will forever be burned into my memory. In fact......14 years later, at 27, I joined the United States Navy. I am now 2 months from separation from the Navy after finishing my contract. Had 9/11 Never happened, I never enlist. Thank you for reacting to this song, Miss. It is important that we never forget.

I was home on a day off and watching the "Today Show" when it began to happen. It was a nightmare being played out in real time. That song never fails to bring me back to that morning. I just wish my country could pull itself together now, like it did in the days and weeks after the attack. Doctors, nurses, nursing aids, techs, and all of out frontline medical professionals, are today's firefighters running into the burning towers.

I was a police officer on my day off talking with friends on AOL chat when someone said "OMG turn on your tvs right now!!", 2 hours later I was back at the Army recruiters office re-enlisting. I told them to put on the next bird smoking in that direction. September 25th was my 1st day back in the Army since 1991. I did 371 combat missions during Operation Enduring Freedom II in Iraq. I wanted to go straight to Afghanistan, but my orders put me in Baghdad the year we got Sadaam Husein. I want to thank you for doing this song, and don't feel bad. I cried with you :)

I was at home with my youngest daughter who at the time was in kindergarten. My 3 older daughters were in school and I couldn't stop watching it I cried as I watched it over & over again. I got her ready for school but couldn't stop hugging her & not wanting to let her go & wanting my older children home just so I could hold them and be with them. I remember sitting outside with my daughter waiting for the bus & looking up at that beautiful blue sky full of sunshine and just wondering why & how . The tears never really stopped that day . In the weeks after my brother in-law who was in the national guard. Gave blood 2 times in a week which he shouldn't have but NY was in need of blood to help the people who survived and were rescued from the rubble. I told him that he shouldn't have given blood 2 times in such a short time he simply said that he had to because even though we lived in another state that they needed it to help the people in NY !

I was a contractor at Cape Canaveral Airforce base in Florida on 9-11. I went on to spend 4 months working on the recovery. Along with 2 of my brothers and a cousin. I wasn't going to watch this reaction, but I'm glad I did. Something kind of comforting about someone outside of the USA remembering that day. Especially when so many have seemingly forgotten. Hi Gitana, thank you for honouring those that asked for this song & those who were lost/injured. I agree it is near impossible to forget where you were on this day. I was in my 8th grade English class, in Canada a few hours from the border with New York. A few months later, in that same class we had an assignment & had to play a song & analyze the lyrics in front of the class. This is the song I chose since it was so new, I'm a Christian & had been in that class the day it occurred so it meant a lot to me. Alan Jackson is a great country singer, more known for sounding traditional compared to a lot of the modern country heard in the last 15 years. Some of my favourites from him include Don't Rock the Jukebox, Chattahoochee, Let it Be Christmas & The Old Rugged Cross (although any of his gospel songs are beautiful!) Be well!
