I met Alan Parsons and his team having lunch at an Italian restaurant in the 1990s. So, I sat at a table near theirs and, pretending to read the menu, I started quietly singing: “If you believe in the power of magic I can change your mind And if you need to believe in someone Turn and look behind.” After the third attempt at humming to get his attention, he turned to me and sang the last verse: “Turn and look behind.” Then Alan Parsons continued: “Would you like to join us? You can sit here next to me.” As a bonus, I even got Alan Parsons’ autograph on my shirt. Alan Parsons is the most humble musician in the entire music universe.

Shout out to Alan Parsons Project. It was just two days after the Pulse shooting in Orlando when I witnessed something incredible. It was them playing outside behind a bar in the parking lot facing a public street. Apparently the owner of this bar had ties to them and they must have dropped whatever they were doing that day to show up in Orlando as a tribute for Pulse. There was no fanfare and maybe fewer than 300 people even knew they were ever there. I was pinching myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming. Coincidently coming across one of my favorite bands of the 70's just a few feet away and in front of a handful of people! It was uplifting indeed. What a very special thing they did that day, trying to do their part for a town that was in shock.

Interesting definition of a love song. He's telling her she's being stubborn. And teasing her don't dare let her guard down that they might talk and come together. But if it works for you why argue with success.

Quote from the APP website ( FAQ ) : " Eric Woolfson was the main songwriter and lyricist for the APP writing 95% of the music and 100% of the lyrics. He also sang lead vocal on many of the APP’s greatest hits including ‘Eye in the Sky’, ‘Time’ and ‘Don’t Answer Me’. He played keyboards on practically every APP track recorded. He was also the manager of the APP and handled all the business side. It was his decision to call it ‘The Alan Parsons Project’ - a choice he often described as both the best and worst in his career. The best because he got to enjoy the success of his work without any of the fame. The worst in that generally no one outside the music industry had a clue who he was! "

If you believe in the power of magic I can change your mind And if you need to belive in someone Turn and look behind When we were living in a dream world Clouds got in the way We gave it up in a moment of madness And threw it all away Don't answer me, don't break the silence Don't let me win Don't answer me, stay on your island Don't let me in Run away and hide from everyone... Can you change the things we've said and done? If you belive in the power of magic It's all a fantasy So if you need to belive in someone Just pretend it's me It ain't enough that we meet as strangers I can't set you free So will you turn your back forever On what you mean to me? Don't answer me, don't break the silence Don't let me win Don't answer me, stay on your island Don't let me in Run away and hide from everyone... Can you change the things we've said and done? Don't answer me, don't break the silence Don't let me win Don't answer me, stay on your island Don't let me in Run away and hide from everyone... Don't answer me, don't break the silence Don't let me win Don't answer me, stay on your island Don't let me in Can you change the things we've said and done?
