Dude that's pretty cool to see you fly like that. Hard fast 3d is sweet, but flying like you just did really showed the precision and skill you've got. Seems so effortless for you.

The rotor disc blur makes for a really attractive visual, thanks to the low light and slow shutter speed! I suppose the only way to get the same effect on a bright sunny day would be to use a tight aperture, or a neutral density filter.

I think this is the best flying I’ve seen! Hard 3D but it’s nice and smooth! The heli just seems to defy gravity with such ease and style! How does one learn to fly like that damn! I can only do nose in hover and some circles and broken up figure 8s😂

Thanks for the video? Anyone out there know where I could find a canopy for an original T-rex 500? I don't really intend on flying it to much anymore but would like a new canopy for it, just going to build a nice shelf for it in the hanger.

I would love to see Align develop a mini nitro in a 400 or even smaller scale. Plus I would love to see one of your vids where you link up with the slow mo guys and see the stresses caused on those rotor blades in slow motion.
@richardmiddleton77702 жыл бұрын
When they get that small, the nitro engines simply don't have the power for 3D. There isn't an engine on the market suitable anyway. For small helis, electric wins hands down. Their 500X with the 470mm blades would be a possibility with an os37 turning around 2500rpm, I think a 50 or 55 would be too heavy.
@winners123452 жыл бұрын
@@richardmiddleton7770 true I am a boring pilot anyway. I don't care too much for 3d flying. I fly my helicopters like I do my model airplanes. It's fun leaving a smoke trail.
@rcrotorfreak2 жыл бұрын
@@richardmiddleton7770 GUi has one that is like 500 size. Not 550 but a 500 that people stick os 37 in it. Toki 40 fit as well. Have ton of power to ratio it depend on gearing also. Weight and so forth. But sure bigger heli his better.

@richardmiddleton77702 жыл бұрын
Tail servos and gyros got better and they realised you can just run a larger diameter boom so you can run larger belt pullys (more efficient), also no boom supports are needed. No more expensive tail touches and minor crashes, heck I've even straightened booms with my knee and kept on flying with belt drive! 👍

This the new model that align is working on. And by the leaks there might be 2 versions, one with the hobbywing 200a, and the other one with 130a align one. It also looks like it’s belt driven not a torque tube, and it will also be a 700 sized model
