I woke up this morning attacked by archetypes of self guilt warning of doing nothing with my day, and I wanted to ignore it and spend my day reading Jung. Then this video got recommended to me. And 22 minutes in hit so hard

To this. day,decades later, few people , if any, have the understanding and wisdom , and the ability to communicate like Allan Watts.🙏.

I try to tell people about him but they end up finding out how he died, and then they lose interest. But I keep insisting they study Alan Watts!!!

The bad, the darkness in us and in the Source of us is not nearly what we imagine. And the light, the good is likewise not nearly what we imagine it to be. It only seems so because of our own lack of understanding of our own nature and the nature of the Source. Balance is key to all things and the true nature of Us is that of simple happiness. Thank you, Us.

I love how this video emphasizes Jung’s balanced approach between East and West. His ideas about integrating both sides of our nature resonate deeply with me. Do you think society is more open to this kind of psychological integration now, or is the conflict between good and evil still too polarized?
@ArtofZentrificationАй бұрын
I think t he answer to that is as simple as, the people who are ready for this integration are more than ready, and the people who are embedded in good vs. evil are more than ready to escalate. Simple answer. Complicated so far as what to do with it.

Sure...but you never see a philosopher driving a corvette.

On the other hand, the owner of a Corvette could call himself a philosopher, since he knows car enthusiasts and philosophers.

This was back in the day when just because you had a platform, people took you seriously. Laughable.

well, back in the day you had to be worthy of having a platform, not like today when any pretentious schmuck can express an anonymous opinion online; laughable indeed...
