Born in Houston, Texas, and raised in the heart of Spring Branch, Alan is a tried-and-true Houstonian who proudly calls the same house his father grew up in home. Growing up on a dead-end street, Alan’s childhood was filled with the simple joys of riding bikes, playing sports, and soaking in the camaraderie of a close-knit neighborhood. Those formative years helped shape his grounded yet adventurous spirit, which he channels into his music.
Alan’s musical journey started early, surrounded by a family where music was more than a pastime-it was a way of life. With a dad who strummed the guitar, a sister who was a drum major, and a piano anchoring their home, Alan grew up with melodies in his veins. But it wasn’t until he picked up a guitar at 13 that the spark truly ignited, leading him to write his first songs. By 19 he was lighting up the Houston, Texas bar scene.
Alan has played with many different band over the years. Most recently, The Drift, a band that solidified his love for live performance and helped refine his sound. Today, his music is deeply rooted in blues and Southern rock, drawing inspiration from his love of classic rock, country, and Americana. This blend of influences creates a sound that’s rich, soulful, and unmistakably his own.
A passionate Houston Astros fan, Alan’s love for baseball mirrors his approach to music-dedication, heart, and a drive to connect with others. His songwriting is inspired by life’s emotional highs and lows, whether it’s a sad song born from a deeply personal moment or a playful melody crafted for sheer fun. His creative process is as dynamic as his sound, with songs sometimes sparked by a guitar riff, a melody that strikes out of nowhere, or a fleeting moment of inspiration.
