Exactly! Like, I used to be able to open my eyes in chlorine, but it still hurt like hell after a while, then when we got the salt water pool, it helped keep our pool much cleaner, and it didn't hurt your eyes at all after swimming for hours :D So now, whenever I swim in a chlorine pool, I feel like my eyes are gonna explode or something lol.

Lol I have a salt water pool and honestly, it's so much better than chlorine. Sometimes I wonder how people can open their eyes in chlorine water. Salt water is definitely in my favor, aha :)

practice. i surf alot and after a while the salt doesnt hurt your eyes anymore

Id say a little harder at first just because the salt can really sting and if its rough out (alot if waves and choppy water) you can get a bit of sand particles in your eyes if youre closer to shore. But theyre basically the same. A pool with a higher concentrate of chlorine can sting just as much. I find saltwater hurting my eyes less than pools do NOW because im used to it and the salt water is kinda like saline. Our eyes are made up of water (thats why theres a tiny moist layer over them) so thats why its easier for our eyes to adapt to being able to see underwater.
