Thank you so much. I've tried several ways to bind, and finally, my brain gets how you do it. I do not like the tucked look on bigger items. It's ok for coasters. Again, thank you for taking the time to show us. 😊

Best tutorial on binding I’ve seen. I have been quilting over four decades and binding is still a dreaded task. You have made this task manageable for me. I would not of thought about using my ‘add a quarter’ ruler nor your method of attaching the binding ends. Thanks for a no-nonsense, straight forward tutorial. Happy quilting!

Thank you so much for this tutorial. I finally understand how to bind. I have been struggling with the process, so much in fact, I stopped trying to quilt for a while. I literally followed your instructions and practiced with you step by step several times pausing and rewinding until I got the process down. Thank you again your instructions are so clear and concise.

Great tutorial. I'm so new to all of this. I completed my very first table runner, and I'm anxious to start another. Thank goodness for KZbin. I am literally learning how to sew from watching KZbin. All you ladies & men are fantastic. So much experience being shared with others. I really like how you attach the binder to the back side first. I haven't seen that done. I'll be watching your other videos in the near future. Also, loved how you measured the tail end of the binder with the 2" piece of material you cut off. Very helpful.

Hi, great tutorial. Couple of questions Are you using a walking foot and do you quilt before you bind? As you can guess, I'm a beginner. 😀

Yes Dianne, I used a walking foot, and yes I did quilt before I did the binding. 😊
@elizabethburns88932 жыл бұрын
Hi Amanda, Thanks for the great tutorial! One question, when you're machine sewing the binding down on the front of the placemat, does the seam in the back fall in the back binding? I would love to see the back of the placemat to see how that binding looks from the back. Thanks!
@alandacraft2 жыл бұрын
Sorry for not responding sooner Elizabeth. I have added an image and a bit of an explanation to the bottom of the post on the website. I try to keep the stitching on the placemat not on the binding. To get a perfect finish you would need to hand sew. I don't hand sew so for me the machine binding fine for quick and easy projects.
