Alan Heath something with an oven at least. Eating out is expensive and when you spend £70k on something you at least want the option to be able to do a proper meal in it. I know some people don’t use ovens but I would.

Kevin Thornley I have one these vans. Can’t fault it. The UK version comes with an oven and stabilisers. I’ve toured Germany and Switzerland without any hiccups so it lasts longer than a week!

Can a retired American buy and own a RV in Europe to tour for a year or two?

Certainly as far as renting is concerned. As for buying, you will need to have some form of residence in the EU for registration and insurance purposes although you won't physically have to live there.
