That's really good! I totally agree with the collapsing bathroom idea because as the man says, you only use the bathroom for short periods in the day and yet it takes up a huge amount of room. You only have to divide a section of the van as they have done and then the bathroom can be there. Really, they did a great job. Everything else is first class as well, the bed going up and down at the back, really good. Very original and very good indeed. €81,000 takes it into Wingamm territory. I think personally I'd still get a Wingamm if I had that kind of lolly myself, but many would opt for this and I can see why they would.

The innovative approach by this company makes the best possible use of confined space, whilst offering the most spacious of shower rooms! The folding shower tray is a very well considered feature, and their execution of the fold away/expanding shower room is outstanding. It is good to see a company taking this space saving, spacious and ergonomic approach! Thank you for highlighting this clever iteration.

Killer way to put in a bathroom. It takes the folding sink to the next logical step. Genius. He should be as proud of the bathroom design as he is. Very ingenuous The hidden toilet and the shower show a grasp of design that many van designers never get to. The inside of the bed looks a little plastic and could be warmer if they introduced some different materials as accents. That said, such accents are expensive and they seem to have done some nice work on the price.

An interesting van,nice to see some new ideas. But an extra £30k to have a foldaway bathroom and a built-in screen seems an odd way to spend the money. While the Great Reset rumbles on and people discover that emulating a pincushion was 'unwise', simple things like solar, water tank size and other basic considerations like long range diesel tanks would be more useful. The biggest space saver is to go to a coachbuilt lift-up bed over the lounge, and it allows a decent sized washroom that doesn't disappear during cooking times. Also the VW, I really want to like it, but they suck for campers - too narrow - and are overpriced. What would be really really cool, and require decent design ideas, is an amphibious camper: but I don't think the stuffy bureaucrats and bankers would allow it to exist, only on Top Gear does that work!

Thank you Alan. If you see this. There's always been that perception about Fiat cars, the European market seems mainly to use the ducato as a base model. Are they a lot better than the ill-informed like me think. OR would the extra for a crafter or merc be worth it. I personally like the transit trail (not custom) but rarely see a transit as a base vehicle. Keep it up mate. I love all your content 👍
@blurayffan663 жыл бұрын
Wow brilliant design. I love when something new is revealed like this rather than the same old layouts. If I were designing that I would have a chill out sofa/table and tv in rear (similar to the Spanish brand "Bunkervan") and just leave the 2 person drop down bed above. I' would also want a larger fridge not sure where the toilet would go then. One question...is it hygienic having a toilet so close to a fridge like that? The shower I imagine would not be 100% waterproof but it would be no big deal drying up a little water with a microfiber cloth or something if any got out onto the floor- a small price to pay for such a clever space saving design. Price is a little high but not unexpected for a VW. Congrats to the team who designed this lovely van.

Totally agree with the sentiment. This is how I designed my van - how much time do you spend doing various activities? Then allocate space accordingly. My van is 600mm shorter and has more storage. I too have an “office”, the kitchen is twice the size and has a full size fridge. I built it for a quarter of the price.

Yes that’s true that you don’t go so often to the toilet or shower .. but with this configuration.. when you have to go you spend 1 hour setting everything up 🤣. I like how the bathroom reveals itself. Unsure re shower tray. Like the bathroom sink and it’s fold away design. Like the kitchen sink and the lithium power. Dislike what appears to be bolt upright passenger seating. I assume the engine snorkel is an avoidable frippery and that the price can be kept to a base level. With a few preferences applied and a fair wind on tonight’s euromillions I’d be interested.
