Jagged Little Pill was the first album (on cassette) I bought, featuring a female singer. This song was the reason I bought it, after hearing it on my local rock radio station. I think my all time favorite Alanis Morissette song is Uninvited. I was at Woodstock '99. Awesome performance. You can find it here on KZbin, as well.

My favorite musical Padawan, I was six months behind when this came out, as I was in the Adriatic that year. Notes: Alanis was a child star on the television show "You Can't Do That on Television." She is singing about Dave Coulier "Uncle Joey" from the show "Full House." The drummer is Taylor Hawkins, the drummer from Foo Fighters that just died. Today, Alanis is the same age as your mother (born 1975). 🍪🍪❤️

Saw her in concert in Atlanta in 2004, opened by Bare Naked Ladies (which is another band to do a reaction to!). Her voice pierced the open air venue which had just had a tremendous rain storm. My jaw was on the floor through most of the concert, it was amazing. You should definitely react to some of her music from the album 'Jagged Little Pill' especially 'Ironic'. Thank you Biss for this reaction. It's always a treat to watch you experience a new artist that I enjoyed many moons ago.

One of my favourite songs highest quality production and writing. Alanis sure knew how to write great songs the whole Jagged Little Pill albums is top tier. Fun Facts the drummer in the video and played live was Taylor Hawkins from the Foo Fighters who is sadly no longer with us. Still hurts as he was one of my drumming hero's. The other fact is Flea the bassist for the Red Hot Chilli Peppers recorded bass for this song. Also Dave Navarro from Jane's Addiction plays guitar on the song too. That tells you how good Alanis's writing is along with the producer/writer Glen Ballard. Who did an outstanding job because we are still listening and jamming out to the album nearly 30 years later.

Still blown away she wrote this (and Jagged Pill) while basically in high school. I was not even close to as self aware as she was at that time. I was just drink, party, get laid, go to the beach, play golf, rinse wash repeat. There was no analyzation. Alanis, Jewel, Fiona Apple were a few of the rocker chicks in the early/mid 90's who were all like 18 years old when they hit it big. Crazy stuff.
