as a kid growing up during the three-peat era lakers in LA, this video and simulation made me both nostalgic and devastated. genuinely what a duo shaq and kobe were, and it was so sad to see them split over their egos. its really cool to see that they likely would have been incredibly successful if they put their egos behind them and just pursued rings together for 15+ years.

Realistically I think they could have won 2 more. So Kobe would have still gotten to 5 rings, after that they would need to bring in some fresh legs, and also a 3rd caliber star to side into that secondary star role next to Kobe as Shaq declines from aging. A solid point guard would do the trick if you ask me. If they could get Jason Kidd some how that would be the way to go. Someone who can help out with the defense, and spread the floor to get Shaq good looks.
