Mo Gawdat Deep Dives Into DeepSeek AI Technology | Full Interview

There’s no doubt that DeepSeek has changed the landscape for large language models. The Chinese company’s cut-price consumer interface, sent tech stocks tumbling, and seemed to narrow the perceived assumption that US companies were way out in front of the global competition.
On this episode of the Riz Khan Show, we’ll take a deep dive into DeepSeek and consider the consequences of its dramatic entrance into the race for supremacy in the world of artificial intelligence. Mo Gawdat joins Khan on this episode. Gawdat is an Egyptian entrepreneur who worked at Microsoft and became chief business officer of Google X before his life was turned around by the death of his son, Ali. That tragedy inspired a journey which led him to becoming a bestselling author of books including “Scary Smart,” “Unstressable,” and “Solve for Happy” - his mission to help a billion people find happiness, dedicated to his son. He also founded and hosts the popular podcast “Slo Mo,” focused on mental health.

By nature we as humans love our lives enough, and will do everything to protect, nourish and to invigorate our life. But DeepSeek-R1 has proven, that intelligence is a factor with a similar relevance than capital. Deepseek and chatgdp were given Maxwell's equations and were asked how the equations must be modified if the speed of light was variable. Deepseek's analysis and final modified equations were superior to that of Chatgdp.
