Well demonstrated video.Thank you.That bracket can be just gently removed. I won't say how.I would even tape it to the stem as a secondary safety. A good quality lock as well.

You can install inside the board? So no one can see that your scooter has an alarm

Such an alarm is best hidden under the cover where the battery and controller are located. There is enough space there, difficult to remove by a thief and in addition, it is worth installing an inverter and insulating it well. It draws little current so you won't drain the electric scooter and you won't have to worry about replacing the battery. The scooter itself makes a great antenna because of the aluminum ;).

The problems with hiding it in the battery compartment is that the alarm instructions state "Do not install the host in a location surrounded by metal parts".

I don't think you quite understand how antennas work. Look up faraday cage, that's what the electronic box in a scooter essentially is.

I wouldn't use a body of anything as an antenna. First you lack the counterpoise of the antenna (a groundplane of some sort). Second, the whole frame is way too big to act as an antenna for anything higher than mid VHF. You would need to galvanically isolate a part of the chassy to act as an antenna and tune that separately with size. Third, boards and modules that are potentially internally grounded to chassis, or the body of the device can and will interfere with the device held inside, and vice versa. Also the interference of digitally handled and frequency driven electronics stuff gets annoying fast. This can also happen by non-galvanic coupling. Way way easier to implement a separate antenna than face the probable head aches from weird problems arising from RF on the chassis.

And how fast does that Apollo Pro go ? I love my Segway ES4 cuz it has an additional external battery to ensure lasting power for long distance. I really want fat tires like I saw 1 of or even both of yours have. Ive been wondering if I could put those on my scooter somehow. The tires on mine are the solid tires , not air filled so that I dont get a flat but I would love to get some off road looking beefy tires on mine.

It does 42mph but I don’t go over 30 in mine lol yea you should able to change out your tires I’m not to familiar with the Segway scooters but I would stick with a nice street tire it makes the ride more smooth if you ride on pavement most of the time, an off-road type tire make the ride more rough but it’s good if you ride off-road like grass and dirt.

Thats whats up!! What kind of scooter is that again?? APOLLO? I love the way u hooked it up or customized it. Kind of what Im trying to do with my Segway Ninebot ES4-800watt. Did u install your own throttle twist handle grips with ignition key too or did your scooter come with those?

Hey! Yea it’s an Apollo Pro it came with the finger throttle and ignition already on the scooter.

The remote only controls the alarm. Not the actual scooter itself.

*No one can cut the zip ties, they just need to get an Alan wrench and unscrew it. Good thing they don’t give them out free at ikea*

Zip ties are not hard to break I could grab the alarm and rip it right off if all it had was a zip tie and who just walks around with an Allen wrench plus the alarm is going to go off while you try and take it off.

@@TheOsito94 *This is how I would steal your scooter. I would see all it needs is an Allen wrench, then I would go to my car and park it around the corner from your scooter. Get the 10 in 1 Allen wrench I keep in my car. Go and unscrew it in less than 5 seconds. If anybody questions me I’ll say I’m just tired of the alarm because it keeps going off for no reason, and half the time my remote doesn’t work. Because I have the exact tool needed, and would be calm as hell nobody would give it a second thought. Assuming that anyone asks me about it because people ignore alarms and tend to stay out of other peoples business. Then I would calmly walk it to my car, put it in the backseat then I have a new scooter*
