Nice thumbnail btw, I went in because of it 5:35 I get your point there but to be honest, since 2020, the whole world has been getting worse. This happened to align with Trump's departure but is not necessarily related to it. Germany's Merkel also left office just before the Russia-Ukraine war, still doesn't mean it would have never happened under her watch. But in general, 2016-2019 was a better time for, at least, the West

Thank you for the thumbnail compliment :) LeoThePeo is not only a long-term life archival project, but also a daily digital art project! About half the time I work harder on the thumbnails than I do on the videos, so I appreciate your feedback :) I agree with you, things have gotten worse since 2019, and people want to go back to that by voting in a 2019 president. But, what I didn’t properly articulate at 5:35 is my personal explanation for the large young male voter turnout for Trump may be a personal nostalgia from when they were younger. I feel like no 18-20 year old first time Republican voter is genuinely considering inflation (for example) from prices when they were 10-12 at the oldest.

I am not an American but it's interesting to observe the developments in your country, and I fully agree on that point you made Your channel is huuuge, took me a while to go through all of it just scrolling. and your thumbnails are exactly my type :D so I am following this. thanks for your dedication

@@leothepeo i think, to be honest, the explanation is much more simple than that. Republicans managed to expand the 2020 coalition while Democrats lost ground on turnout and lower propensity voters even more than last time, and that can honestly be explained by inflation causing bad economic vibes. the perception of an open border and Democrats focus on social issues instead of economic ones. And at the end of the day, it was still a relatively narrow win for Trump. I think dems will probably bounce back in the next 4 years.

@@SplashTasty Yeah I mean, I’m not implying that the sole reason for the Republican victory was the unusually Republican young male voter turnout. I agree with what you said being the primary factor

Congrats to Mr. Trump for winning, as long as it was all fair, I'm all for it, although I'm not an American. I do hope it gets better for America.
