Alaska Cruise on The Majestic Princess- Day 2

Iceberg Ahead! In a good way...Day 2 of our Alaska Cruise on the Majestic Princess was one of exploration. We set out to see more of the ship, inside and out. (Look for a whole ship tour video coming soon too!)
The highlight of the day though was our visit to beauiful Hubbard Glacier! We couldn't believe how blue the glacier was, and the water too! The air was also SO fresh! We were lucky to have a really nice day here on this visit- just a little windy, but not 'too' cold for July.
We end the video with formal night, and have a great meal, as well as enjoy some entertainment. Next week... Glacier Bay!

I’m wondering how far in advance you had to book your cruise. Also, did you prefer Princess over the others? I’ve never gone on a cruise and would appreciate any pointers on putting an Alaska/Denali trip together. Love your videos. Thanks!!

Hi there! I think we booked our Alaska cruise about four months ahead of time. However, if you want the best selection of cabins and prices, it’s always better to book as early as possible. For this next cruise, we are booking four months out as well. As for Alaska, Princess has the best reputation and the longest history of cruises to Alaska. They also offer “cruise tours,”which includes a land tour, in addition to the actual cruise. They do include Denali, and actually have their own resort hotels there, as well as train transportation to the cruise, ship. I would check them out first. Good luck, and have a great trip!
