Thanks for all the information of many videos I have watched nobody has told us about a website like this. When they have mentioned excursions they all say how they book them through the cruise line so I am comparing for sure. Wow so proud of you finishing up the hike amazing!! We will watch more of your videos for sure looks like u have a couple just like ours we have done some of the same trips. We are doing our alaska cruise this summer 2023 so excited! Hi, and thank you for watching our video! The excursion we originally booked in Icy Straight was the “Guaranteed Whale Watching Adventure”, but as we mentioned we unfortunately cancelled that excursion because we had also booked the “ Orca Kayaking Adventure”, and we thought we were going to see more whales than we actually did (because the tour company canceled our orca kayaking tour). When we go back again, that’s what we will be re-booking for sure. We spoke with a couple of other passages, who actually did that excursion, and they saw more whales than they had expected! If you decide to do that one, please let me know how it goes! I hope you enjoy your Alaska cruise! -Liz

I lived in Juneau Alaska for a couple of years before moving to the interior I remember the 1st time I actually hiked the glacier I had to figure it out for myself I knew I was on the right path when I found all these signs warning me about walking to the glacier. And don't be fooled about the whole jewelry thing in Alaska that's only during the summer and then all those companies leave.

That must have been challenging to find it on your own! I know I wouldn’t have worried about it getting dark on us, but I definitely would have worried that we wouldn’t make it back in time before the ship left if I had gotten lost! We’re actually thinking about going back to Alaska for a land vacation at some point because there’s just so much we wanted to do and see while we were there but not enough time when you’re on a cruise ship!
