Beautiful and stunning drone shot near the end, there in Whittier. Such an attractive hotel, too. Your "odyssey" continues to Homer!

Ah, chain maintenance. I'm sure you'll hear different versions of it but to be right up front about it, it all depends on the conditions. Examples: rain, dry dust and dirt, MUD, etc. Mud dirt and rain at least ONCE a day. Constantly check it when you stop for a rest and inspect it. On regular conditions, I say about every 4 to 500 miles clean it, lube it with GEAR OIL, check tension. I've gone over 15,000 miles on my chain on my BMW F700GS and adjusted it twice. I've got some good life left into it but can tell it's coming to the end of its life. But I'm always cleaning it and lubing it. If you don't care about constant maintenance, then expect to replace your chain often. I always get a quality chain and something that's overrated for my bike also. Hope this helps you out. I just found your series yesterday and have been trying to binge watch (something I never do) and I'm letting the wheels roll in my head about when I went to Alaska in 2010. You guys are doin it right. You ride very well Joy for you only been riding a couple years. Cheers to both you and inspiring all us couch watchers. Actually, I'm a very active guy and just finished up a road trip on my BMW from NY to California and back with over 8000 miles on the trip. Keep up the good work with your adventures and I'm you new SUB.

I’ve now watched all of your episodes in this Alaska travel series. Excellent job on your videos! I flew into Anchorage in August 2020, rented a bike & traveled to many of the areas where you’ve been. Brings back memories & reminds me that I need to get back up there again. Such a beautiful place! I see Ep 8 you’re going to Homer. I stayed at the Land’s End Resort. Thanks for sharing your experiences! Take care!

Thank you for the compliment. We wanted to stay at Land’s End Resort but it was completely sold out. We are already wanting to go back.

@@LivinLifeLoud I had fresh halibut for the first time there in Homer. Soooo good! Alaska is just great. Not a cheap place to visit but well worth it.

Awesome, really enjoy this series, beautiful trip. You should have taken the GS Adventure from the dealership, no running out of gas worries😊

Haha, you are right about that! This was the only trip I have taken that I nearly ran out of fuel.

Absolutely on dirt and dusty roads. Clean it every day.

It sure is great when the techs take time to show customers issues and how to do maint in the area where mc's are ridden...That chain was DONE!! 😅 The tram ride and views were great but the tunnel ride was too cool!!! Looking forward to the next episode!! 👍👍

I very much appreciated their expertise and help. Yes, the Whittier Tunnel was by far one of the coolest things on the trip.
