My friend who's spent a lot of time in South America said the number plate incident was probably a local being helpful. Because it's a foreign number plate your bike would have been more likely to be targeted by thieves than if it were a local/domestic number plate, so the helpful stranger took it off and hid it for you to avoid that.

They don't have to do Ed's adventure routes and they can't anyway. They did Ewan, Charley and Claudio's adventures. Let's just be honest here, all adventure riders would love to have Ewan and Charley influence, which brought them free GS bikes, custom Harleys, and their shows bought by Apple. Several years from now, Ewan and Charley would be considered as the pioneer of ebike adventurer, just like how they popularized the GS series even though Ewan falls a lot. Ed could persuade Honda to give him a brand new Super Cub C125, but I don't think Ed would want to make his videos more family friendly, because then It would not be Ed March's original video anymore.

Your BMW bashing is hilarious. I rode from Colombia to Chile on a bicycle and have a funny memory in the Chilean border crossing. They have to decontaminate your tires and that meant you have to ride/drive down in to a foot deep pool of disinfectant (the entrance/exit was very steep). When it was my turn, a guard just walked up to me and sprayed my bike down instead of making me ride through. Right behind me were some BMW's and they would not stop complaining about how I didn't have to ride my bicycle through it but they did, absolute man-children.

I have Xfinity and it is SUPPOSED to do 500 Mbps, but the best I've ever seen out of it is maybe 180 Mbps using the speedtest.net site... I tried it at 4K, basically still frames... Total crap to try to watch... Tried it at 1080p, still crap... At 720p, it's watchable... It was an intro rate and it is ending this month after 2 years, so instead of paying basically double for crappy service (and they won't give me any of the deals that they give new customers), I'll switch a different provider... Prior to this, I had 10 Mbps service and it was perfectly acceptable, so I'm not going to miss going back to a slower speed...

GO ON YOUR ADVENTURE RIGHT NOW. You are probably in your 20s now and I hope you have started your adventure. The only thing that keeps these trips out of reach is starting. Do that and the rest will pay for itself. I can't explain it but once you are doing it you will find the solutions for any problems when you come to them. just go.
@Mucky_Muck11 ай бұрын
@@Xsiondu Yes, and also money, which is the biggest issue for most people.
@Xsiondu11 ай бұрын
@@Mucky_Muck I get that. Money is always the thing. I'm fully understanding about that. However, there will never come a time where anyone will have extra money. If you save up for the trip then it will always be haunting you about when you will run out of money on the trip. I was expressing that in order to go on an adventure just go. Just go and look for solutions that will allow you to make money during your adventure. Wash dishes, swing a hammer on a construction site, push a broom doing cleaning work, hang out at a home Depot or Lowe's for some day labor jobs. If money is the problem then it's not a problem. There is plenty of money to be made along the way. You just have to Go and get started. I'm not attacking your statement, it's a reasonable concern. I'm just high lighting that having no money isn't a reason to delay an adventure, it can be a crippling excuse that unless disregarded will always have your adventure in the "someday" category. I say it again. Just Go! Get started and come up with solutions along the way. Have a wonderful everyday kind stranger. I hope you start your adventure soon.
