When Alastair was young, his parents died. This video takes place on the anniversary of that. While his biological kids know what it means, by means of inferring, his more recently adopted kids (NPC Grian, Sam, and Robot Grian)don't. So NPC Grian investigates and helps his dad feel better.
NPC Grian's demon form is a massive dog because when Grian was creating NPC Grian he accidentally got dog fur mixed in with his own hair and blood.
